This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new bike computer.

4. Setup & Installation

4.1 Mounting the Bike Computer

  1. Place the rubber pad on the desired mounting location on your bicycle's crossbar or handlebar.
  2. Position the mount on top of the rubber pad.
  3. Secure the mount using the provided rubber rings, ensuring it is firmly attached.
  4. Place the bike computer horizontally onto the mount.
  5. Turn the bike computer clockwise by 90 degrees until it clicks securely into place.

4.2 Initial Power On and GPS Connection

To power on the device, press and hold the power button (left button) for two seconds. For the initial GPS signal connection, it is recommended to be outdoors in an open area. The first connection may take 30-90 seconds. Subsequent connections will be faster.

4.3 Charging the Device

The Bikevee BKV-3001 uses a USB-C charging port. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the device and a suitable USB power source. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours and provides up to 28 hours of battery life. Note that the device does not support fast charging.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Controls

  • Power Button (Left Button): Press and hold for two seconds to power on or off.
  • Middle Button: Click to display cycling data (play icon) or hide cycling data (pause icon).
  • Right Button: Click to move to the next data page. Long press to enter the settings page.

5.2 Unit Settings (KM/H vs MPH)

  1. Long press the right button to enter the settings.
  2. Right-click to turn the page and find the unit settings.
  3. Press the left button to switch between kilometers (KM/H) and miles (M/H). When switched to miles, the temperature will be displayed in Fahrenheit.

5.3 Time Zone Setting

  1. Long press the right button to enter the settings.
  2. Right-click to turn the page and find the time zone setting.
  3. Press the left button to change to the time zone of your country.

5.4 Backlight Display

The device features a backlight display for clear visibility in low-light conditions. The backlight can be activated or adjusted through the settings menu.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the screen or casing.

6.2 Waterproofing

The Bikevee BKV-3001 is IPX7 waterproof, meaning it can withstand rain and splashes. However, it is not designed for prolonged immersion in water. Ensure the USB-C port cover is securely closed to maintain water resistance.

6.3 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the device frequently. Charge the device using the provided USB-C cable. Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 GPS Signal Issues

If the device struggles to acquire a GPS signal, ensure you are in an open outdoor area with a clear view of the sky. The first signal connection may take 30-90 seconds. Moving to a different location or restarting the device might help.

7.2 Device Not Responding

If the device becomes unresponsive, try pressing and holding the power button for 10-15 seconds to perform a hard reset. If the issue persists, ensure the battery is charged.

8. User Tips

  • Optimal GPS Acquisition: For the fastest and most accurate GPS lock, power on your device in an open outdoor space before you start your ride.
  • Unit Preference: Remember that switching between KM/H and M/H also changes the temperature display between Celsius and Fahrenheit, respectively.
  • Standalone Operation: This bike computer is designed for standalone use and does not support external devices or companion apps for data synchronization.
