Setup

1. Power Input Selector (PIS) Setting

The receiver supports both AC/DC 9V-30V and AC 85V-250V power inputs. It is crucial to set the Power Input Selector (PIS) correctly based on your power source.

  • If the input voltage is greater than 24V, shorten pins 2 & 3.
  • If the input voltage is less than 24V, shorten pins 1 & 2.

2. Physical Installation and Wiring

Connect the receiver to your garage door or gate automation system. Ensure all connections are secure and follow local electrical codes.

The receiver has terminals for PWR (Power), OUT1, OUT2 (Outputs), GND (Ground), and ANT (Antenna). Connect the power supply to PWR and GND. Connect OUT1 and OUT2 to your motor or controller as required by your specific garage door/gate opener system. The small antenna should be connected to the ANT terminal for optimal signal reception.

3. App Installation and Pairing

  1. Download the "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
  2. Register or log in to your account.
  3. Add the device: Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
  4. The receiver will enter pairing mode (usually indicated by a blinking LED).
  5. Once paired, you can rename the device and configure its settings within the app.

Operating Instructions

1. Mobile App Control

Use the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app to control your garage door or gate:

  • Open/Close: Tap the corresponding button in the app to open or close the door.
  • Remote Monitoring: View the real-time open/closed status of your garage door directly from the app.
  • Scheduling: Set specific times for the garage door to open or close automatically using the Timer Function.
  • Countdown: Utilize the Countdown Function to set a delay before the door opens or closes.

2. RF Control (Remote Control)

The receiver is compatible with various RF remote controls (300MHz-868MHz). You can pair your existing remote controls with the receiver using the learning function. Refer to the specific instructions for your remote control and the receiver's learning mode (usually activated by a button on the receiver) to pair them.

The receiver features 8 DIP switches for brand selection, allowing compatibility with different remote brands. Adjust these switches according to the brand of your remote control.

3. Voice Control

Integrate the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app with your Amazon Alexa or Google Home device to enable voice commands for your garage door.

  • For Alexa: Enable the "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" skill in the Alexa app and link your account.
  • For Google Home: Link the "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" service in the Google Home app.

Once linked, you can use commands such as "Alexa, open the garage door" or "Hey Google, close the garage door."

4. Share Function

You can share control of your smart garage door opener module with family members through the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app. This allows multiple users to operate and monitor the garage door from their own smartphones.

Maintenance

  • Keep the receiver clean and free from dust.
  • Periodically check wiring connections for security.
  • Ensure the antenna is properly connected and unobstructed for optimal signal.
  • Update the Tuya Smart/Smart Life app regularly for the latest features and security patches.

Troubleshooting
