5. Setup and First Use

5.1. Charging the Headphones and Case

The charging case has a 400mAh capacity, providing up to 70 hours of standby time. The headphones themselves offer about 50 hours of battery life with the charging case.

  • Headphone Charging: When charging, the red light on the headphone stays on. It turns off once fully charged.
  • Charging Case Charging: Connect the Type-C charging cable to the charging port. The charging case display screen shows the battery level. It will show 100% when fully charged.

Note: After the charging status is displayed on the charging case's screen, it will automatically turn off after about 30 seconds of inactivity. Sliding can re-enter the display screen.

5.2. Wearing the Earphones

The MINISO M97 features an OWS ear hook style for comfortable and secure fit.

5.3. Initial Pairing

When there is no prior pairing record for the left and right earphones, they will automatically pair with each other after being turned on. After successful pairing, you will hear two beeps.

5.4. Re-connection

If the left and right earphones have pairing records, they will automatically connect back when they are turned on, and a "beep" prompt will sound.

5.5. App Download and Connection (for AI Translation)

The AI translation function and other advanced features require the 'SayMi' APP.

  1. Download the APP: Scan the QR code provided in the manual or search for 'SayMi' in your app store.
  2. Login in the APP: Create an account or log in to the SayMi APP.
  3. Take out the earphones: Remove the earphones from the charging case to connect them to your mobile phone via Bluetooth.
  4. Enter the APP: Open the SayMi APP to connect your headphones and access AI translation and other functions.

This software is free to use for a lifetime and does not charge any fees.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Power On/Off

Refer to the touch controls for powering on and off the headphones.

6.2. Indicator Light Description

  • Headset Turned On: The white light flashes.
  • Headset Turned Off: The red light stays on for 2 seconds and then turns off.
  • Pairing Status: White light flashing.
  • Connection Successful: No light.

6.3. Music Mode Controls

Use the touch controls on the earphones for music playback:

  • Volume Up/Down: Tap the left (L) or right (R) earbud.

  • Keep the headphones and charging case clean and dry.

  • While the product is sweatproof, it is not fully waterproof. Avoid submerging it in water.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1. Clearing Bluetooth Pairing History

If both earphones cannot be paired, or if they fail to pair or reconnect to each other, you may need to clear the Bluetooth pairing history.

  1. Clear all connected devices from your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  2. Tap both the left and right earphones five times simultaneously. This will reset the earphones and clear their Bluetooth pairing history.
