User Tips

  • **Ingredient Temperature**: Ensure all ingredients, especially liquids, are at room temperature unless the recipe specifies otherwise. Cold ingredients can inhibit yeast activation.
  • **Measuring Accuracy**: Use proper measuring cups and spoons. For flour, spoon it into the measuring cup and level it off with a straight edge; do not scoop directly from the bag as this can compact the flour.
  • **Yeast Placement**: Always add yeast last, on top of the dry ingredients, away from liquids and salt, to prevent premature activation.
  • **Gluten-Free Baking**: When using the Gluten Free setting, ensure all ingredients are specifically labeled gluten-free. Gluten-free flours often require different liquid ratios, so follow recipes carefully.
  • **Experiment with Custom Program**: The 'HOME MADE' program is excellent for fine-tuning recipes or adapting family favorites. Keep a log of your custom settings for consistent results.
