3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Choosing a Location
Place the repeater in an area where it can receive a good signal from your main router and also effectively extend coverage to desired dead zones. Avoid placing it near large metal objects, concrete walls, or other devices that may cause interference.

3.2 Powering On
Plug the repeater into a standard electrical outlet. The power indicator light should illuminate.

3.3 WPS Quick Setup
The easiest way to set up the repeater is using the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) function. Your host router must support WPS, and its SSID and password should be the same as the router's (special characters may not be supported).
- Press the WPS button on your main router.
- Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on the Ourlife WiFi Repeater.
- Wait 1-2 minutes for the devices to connect. The signal indicator lights on the repeater should show a stable connection.

3.4 Manual Setup (Web Interface)
If your router does not support WPS or you prefer manual configuration, follow these steps:
- Plug the repeater into an electrical outlet.
- Connect your computer or mobile device to the repeater's default Wi-Fi network (usually named something like 'WiFi-Repeater' or 'Ourlife_EXT'). There is no password initially.
- Open a web browser and enter the default IP address (check the included manual or product label for the exact IP, commonly 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1).
- Log in using the default username and password (often 'admin' for both).
- Follow the on-screen wizard to select your main Wi-Fi network and enter its password.
- Save the settings. The repeater will restart, and its network name will typically change to your main network's name with '_EXT' appended.
4. Operating the Repeater
Once set up, the repeater will automatically extend your Wi-Fi network. You can connect your devices to the extended network just as you would to your main router's Wi-Fi.
4.1 LED Indicators
The repeater features several LED indicators to show its status:
- Power LED: Indicates if the device is powered on.
- WLAN LED: Indicates wireless activity.
- Signal LED(s): Shows the strength of the signal received from the main router. More lights usually mean a stronger signal.
- LAN LED: Indicates activity on the LAN port.

5. Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your WiFi Repeater:
- Keep it Clean: Periodically wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Ensure ventilation holes are not obstructed.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates. Keeping the firmware updated can improve performance and security.
- Proper Placement: Avoid placing the device in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in excessively humid environments.
- Restart Periodically: Like most network devices, a periodic restart (unplugging and replugging after 10 seconds) can help maintain stable performance.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Internet Access:
- Ensure your main router has an active internet connection.
- Verify that the repeater is successfully connected to your main router (check signal LEDs).
- Try restarting both your router and the repeater.
- Slow Speeds or Dropped Connection:
- Poor signal connection between the repeater and your main router can cause slow speeds or dropped connections. Try moving the repeater closer to your main router.
- Ensure there are no major obstructions (thick walls, large metal objects) between the repeater and your main router.
- Reduce the number of devices connected to the extended network if possible.
- Cannot See Desired Wireless Network:
- If you cannot see the extended wireless network, the repeater might be out of range of your main router. Move the repeater closer to the router and scan for networks again.
- Ensure the repeater is powered on and its wireless function is enabled.
- WPS Setup Fails:
- Ensure your host router supports WPS.
- Make sure the SSID and password of your host router do not contain special characters that might not be supported by WPS.
- Try the manual setup method via the web interface.
- Repeater Password Issues:
- The passwords for your repeater's extended network are typically the same as your main router's Wi-Fi password.
- If you changed the repeater's password during manual setup and forgot it, you may need to perform a factory reset and reconfigure.
