6. Setup

7. Operating Instructions

The T2808 offers three main testing functions: Battery Test, Generator Charging System Test, and Starter System Start Load Test.

7.1. Battery Test (12V/24V)

  1. Connect the Tester: Attach the red clamp to the positive battery terminal and the black clamp to the negative terminal.
  2. Select Battery Type: Use the arrow keys to select 'electric bicycle' or 'car battery' based on your vehicle. Press ENTER.
  3. Select Function: Choose 'battery' from the function menu. Press ENTER.
  4. Select Test Standard: Choose the appropriate standard (e.g., CCA, IEC, EN, DIN, JIS, UNKNOW) for your battery. Press ENTER.
  5. Adjust CCA Value: If prompted, adjust the CCA value to match your battery's specifications using the arrow keys. Press ENTER to start the test.
  6. View Results: The device will display the test results, including voltage (vol), internal resistance (res), tested CCA (test), set CCA (set), battery life, and a general result (e.g., 'Good', 'Outstanding', 'Attention', 'Replace').

7.2. Generator Charging System Test

  1. Connect the Tester: Ensure the tester is connected to the battery.
  2. Select Function: Choose 'generator' from the function menu. Press ENTER.
  3. Start the Engine: Follow the on-screen prompt to start the vehicle's engine.
  4. View Results: The device will display the dynamic voltage, maximum voltage (MAX), and minimum voltage (MIN) of the charging system.

7.3. Starter System Start Load Test

  1. Connect the Tester: Ensure the tester is connected to the battery.
  2. Select Function: Choose 'start' from the function menu. Press ENTER.
  3. Start the Engine: Follow the on-screen prompt to start the vehicle's engine.

7.4. Data Storage

The T2808 can store up to 40 sets of measurement history. To query the measurement history, press and hold the 'Left' arrow key for 3 seconds. To clear all stored data at once, long press the 'ENTER' key.

7.5. Electric Bicycle Battery Amperage Selection

For electric bicycle batteries, you can directly input the Ampere-Hour (AH) value. This allows for accurate testing of EV batteries like those found in Tesla or BYD models.
