6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your J88 Wireless Lavalier Microphone, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the microphones, receiver, and charging case. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the microphones and receiver in the charging case to protect them and keep them charged. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: Avoid fully discharging the batteries frequently. Charge the devices regularly, even if not in constant use, to maintain battery health.
  • Avoid Water: The devices are not waterproof. Keep them away from water, moisture, and high humidity.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your J88 Wireless Lavalier Microphone, try the following solutions:

7.1 No Sound or Poor Audio Quality

  • Check Connection: Ensure the receiver is fully inserted into your device's port.
  • Check Pairing: Verify that the microphone's connection indicator is solid, indicating a successful pairing with the receiver. If not, try turning the microphone off and on again.
  • Battery Level: Ensure both the microphone(s) and the charging case have sufficient battery charge.
  • App Settings: Check your recording or live streaming app's audio input settings to ensure the external microphone is selected.
  • Distance: Ensure the microphone is within the effective transmission range (up to 20 meters/65 feet barrier-free). Obstacles can reduce range.
  • Noise Reduction: If audio sounds muffled, try toggling the noise reduction feature off.

7.2 Microphone Not Charging

  • Case Battery: Ensure the charging case itself is charged. The digital display should show a percentage.
  • Proper Placement: Make sure the microphones are correctly seated in their slots within the charging case.
  • Charging Cable/Adapter: Try a different Type-C charging cable or power adapter to rule out a faulty accessory.

7.3 Intermittent Connection

  • Interference: Move away from other 2.4GHz wireless devices (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, other wireless microphones) that might cause interference.
  • Line of Sight: Maintain a clear line of sight between the microphone and receiver for optimal performance.
  • Re-pair: Turn off both the microphone and receiver, then restart the pairing process.
