5.1 Switching Modes

Press the Mode Switch Key (WiFi-like icon) or the Switch Mode Button (power button icon) repeatedly to cycle through the available detection modes:

  1. Infrared Detection Mode
  2. Signal Detection Mode
  3. Magnetic Detection Mode
  4. Vibration Alarm Mode

5.2 Infrared Detection Mode (Anti-Sneak Camera)

This mode is used to detect hidden pinhole cameras, night vision probes, and wireless cameras by identifying their lenses.

  1. Switch to Infrared Detection Mode. The Infrared Detection Mode Indicator will light up.
  2. Look through the Lens Identification Lens on the back of the device.
  3. Activate the LED Lights and Search Light (if available) to illuminate the area.
  4. Slowly scan the room, paying close attention to suspicious objects like smoke detectors, wall outlets, mirrors, and decorative items.
  5. Hidden camera lenses will appear as bright red dots or reflections when viewed through the lens.

5.3 Signal Detection Mode (Anti-Eavesdropping & Anti-Location)

This mode detects wireless signals emitted by eavesdropping devices, wireless cameras, and GPS trackers.

  1. Switch to Signal Detection Mode. The Signal Detection Light (yellow bar) will activate.
  2. The number of illuminated segments on the yellow bar indicates signal strength. More segments mean a stronger signal.
  3. Use the Signal Strength Adjustment Button (up/down arrows) to adjust sensitivity. Start with lower sensitivity and increase as needed to pinpoint the source.
  4. Slowly move the detector around the area. When the signal strength increases, you are getting closer to the hidden device.
  5. Focus on areas where such devices might be concealed, like under furniture, in plants, or inside electronic equipment.

5.4 Magnetic Detection Mode (GPS Detection)

This mode is specifically designed to find strong magnetic locators, often used as GPS trackers on vehicles.

  1. Switch to Magnetic Detection Mode. The Green Light will illuminate.
  2. Scan surfaces, especially under vehicles (chassis), car interiors, and other metallic objects where magnetic trackers might be attached.
  3. The device will alert you (audibly or visually) when a magnetic field is detected.

5.5 Vibration Alarm Mode (Anti-Intrusion)

This mode uses a sensitive vibration sensor to detect movement, acting as an anti-intrusion alarm.

  1. Switch to Vibration Alarm Mode. The Vibration Alarm Mode Indicator will light up.
  2. Place the device on a door handle, window, or any object you wish to monitor for unauthorized movement.
  3. If the object is disturbed, the detector will emit an alarm, providing an immediate warning.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the surface or internal components.

6.2 Storage

Store the detector in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Device Not Powering On

  • Ensure the device is fully charged. Connect it to a power source and check if the red charging indicator light illuminates.
  • Try pressing and holding the power button for a longer duration (5-10 seconds).

7.2 Inaccurate Detection or False Alarms

  • Signal Detection: Adjust the sensitivity using the Signal Strength Adjustment Button. High sensitivity in areas with many wireless devices (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, cell phones) can lead to false positives. Lower the sensitivity and scan again.
  • Infrared Detection: Ensure you are in a dimly lit environment for best results. Bright ambient light can make it harder to spot reflections from hidden lenses.
  • Magnetic Detection: Avoid scanning large metallic objects that are not suspected of housing a tracker, as they can interfere with magnetic readings.

7.3 Short Battery Life

  • Ensure the device is fully charged before use.
  • Avoid using the device in extremely cold temperatures, which can reduce battery performance.
  • If battery life significantly degrades over time, it may indicate battery wear.

9. User Tips

  • Regular Scans: For maximum privacy, perform regular scans of your environment, especially in new or unfamiliar places like hotel rooms, rental cars, or changing rooms.
  • Dim Lighting for Infrared: When using infrared detection, dimming the lights in the room can make it easier to spot the reflections from hidden camera lenses.
  • Systematic Approach: Scan methodically, section by section, to ensure no area is missed. Start from the ceiling, move to walls, then furniture and objects.
  • Sensitivity Adjustment: Learn to adjust the sensitivity settings for signal detection. In areas with high ambient RF noise, lower sensitivity helps to pinpoint actual threats.
  • Check Common Hiding Spots: Always check common places for hidden devices such as smoke detectors, clocks, power adapters, lamps, air vents, and decorative items.
