4. Setup

Before setting up, ensure the fixture is placed on a stable surface or securely mounted using appropriate rigging hardware. Connect the power cable to a compatible power outlet (AC100-240V, 50-60Hz).

DMX Connection:

For DMX control, connect a DMX cable from your DMX controller to the DMX IN port of the first fixture. For multiple fixtures, daisy-chain them by connecting the DMX OUT of the first fixture to the DMX IN of the next, and so on. Ensure the DMX address is correctly set on each fixture (see "Display Screen Function" below).

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your YUER Moving Head Light.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the internal and external optical systems to prevent dust and debris buildup, which can affect light output and clarity. Use a soft, lint-free cloth and appropriate cleaning solutions for optical components.
  • Fan and Ventilation: Ensure the cooling fan and ventilation grilles are free from dust and obstructions. Blocked fans can lead to overheating and potential damage.
  • Cable Inspection: Regularly check all power and DMX cables for any signs of wear, cuts, or damage. Replace damaged cables immediately to prevent electrical hazards and signal loss.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates to ensure your device has the latest features and bug fixes.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your YUER Moving Head Light, refer to the following table for common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible Cause & Solution
Lamps can't start normally.
  1. Check the power cord for problems.
  2. Check whether the power fuse is blown.
  3. Check whether the switching power supply has voltage output (use a multimeter).
  4. Check the motherboard for voltage input (use a multimeter).
Lamps emit light normally, but are not controlled by DMX controller.
  1. Check whether the DMX starting address is set correctly.
  2. Check whether the DMX cannon seat of the lamp is damaged.
  3. If the above are ruled out, try connecting another fixture with the same console. If it works, the issue is with the motherboard of the original fixture.
Lamps work intermittently.
  1. Check whether the fan works normally and if the dust blocks the fan or fan net.
  2. Check whether the LED light of the switching voltage output port is flashing. A damaged switching power supply or debris can cause a short circuit.
  3. Abnormal circuit board causes.
The LED is not on.
  1. Check whether the LED lamp bead is damaged.
  2. Check whether the connecting wires at both ends of the LED lamp bead are loose.
  3. Check the positive and negative LED lamp beads and whether there is voltage input (use a multimeter).
The light is dim and the brightness drops obviously.
  1. Check whether the internal and external optical systems are clean.
The shaking light is out of step.
  1. Signal interference can also be caused. Rule out whether the ground end of the signal line is broken.
  2. Program exception causes.
  3. Abnormal motor causes.
  4. The IC of the motherboard burned out.

9. User Tips

  • For optimal performance, ensure proper ventilation around the fixture during operation.
  • When using DMX control, always verify the DMX address settings for each light to avoid conflicts.
  • Experiment with different DMX channel values for patterns and colors to discover the full range of effects.
