8. Troubleshooting

Device does not power on:
Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the device to a power source using the USB Type-C cable and try again after a few minutes.
Inaccurate readings:
Perform a self-calibration using the provided calibration foils. Ensure the sensor is clean and making firm, perpendicular contact with the surface. Verify the substrate type (Fe/NFe) is correctly identified.
Screen is dim or unreadable:
Check battery level. The HD backlit screen requires sufficient power. Adjust screen brightness settings if available in the menu.
Device freezes or becomes unresponsive:
Try turning the device off and on again. If the issue persists, allow the battery to fully discharge and then recharge it.

9. User Tips

  • For consistent readings, always place the probe gently and steadily on the surface, avoiding any sliding motion.
  • When measuring curved surfaces, ensure the probe makes full contact with the surface. Multiple readings may be necessary.
  • Utilize the data grouping feature to organize measurements for different parts of a vehicle or project, making analysis easier.
  • Regularly check the sensor for any paint residue or dirt that might affect accuracy.
