  • Power Off: When not in use for extended periods, it is recommended to unplug the power adapter.
  • Software Updates: Periodically check for system updates in the settings menu to ensure optimal performance and security.

Troubleshooting

Device restarts repeatedly or front panel light is red:
This issue often indicates insufficient power. Ensure you are using a DC 5V/2A power adapter. If your TV's USB port does not provide sufficient voltage/current, use a dedicated wall adapter.
No display on TV:
  • Check if the TV Box is powered on.
  • Verify the HDMI cable is securely connected to both the TV Box and the TV.
  • Ensure your TV is set to the correct HDMI input source.
  • Try a different HDMI cable or TV port.
No Wi-Fi connection:
  • Confirm your Wi-Fi router is on and working.
  • Check if the Wi-Fi password entered is correct.
  • Restart the TV Box and your Wi-Fi router.
  • Ensure the TV Box is within range of your 2.4G Wi-Fi network.
Remote control not responding:
  • Ensure the remote control is pointed directly at the front panel of the TV Box.
  • Replace the batteries in the remote control.
  • Check for any obstructions between the remote and the TV Box.

User Tips

  • Optimize Performance: Close unused applications running in the background to free up RAM and improve performance.
  • External Storage: Utilize the USB 2.0 port to connect external storage devices (like USB drives) for playing local media files or expanding storage for apps.
  • Firmware Updates: Regularly check for official firmware updates to ensure your device has the latest features and bug fixes. A firmware download link is available at: Tanix TX1 Firmware.
  • Remote Control Usage: For best results, always point the IR remote directly at the front of the TV Box.
