X035-AAM002 Controller Features
The X035-AAM002 controller incorporates several intelligent features for enhanced performance and safety:
- Invisible Soft/Hard Start: To switch between soft and hard start modes: Tighten the brake, turn the throttle handle to the bottom, turn on the power, and wait for 3 seconds. The system will switch to smooth start (default is hard start). This setting has a memory function. Repeat the operation to switch back.
- Invisible Single/Dual Hall Amplifier: To switch between single and dual Hall boost modes (for 3-wire booster sensors only): Apply the brake, turn on the power, and turn the wheel/loop three times. The system will switch to Dual Hall Boost (default is only Hall Boost). This setting has a memory function. Repeat the operation to switch back.
- Power Protection: Automatically stops output when the battery voltage drops below the under-voltage threshold, protecting the battery from over-discharge.
- Anti-Stealing Power On: Prevents unintended power-on due to line or throttle malfunctions, enhancing vehicle security.
- MOS Tube Short Circuit Protection: Detects MOS tube defects upon power-on to prevent damage to other components from serial short circuits.
- High Temperature Protection: Reduces output current or stops output automatically if the controller temperature becomes too high.
- Rotation Protection: If the motor is blocked, the controller automatically limits current and cuts off the circuit within 2 seconds to protect both the motor and the controller.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your e-bike display and controller:
- Cleaning: Keep the display and controller clean from dust and dirt. Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Connection Checks: Periodically inspect all electrical connections for tightness and signs of wear or corrosion. Ensure waterproof connectors are properly sealed.
- Cable Integrity: Check all cables for cuts, pinches, or damage. Replace any damaged cables immediately.
- Environmental Protection: While the components are designed for outdoor use, avoid prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions (heavy rain, direct sunlight, extreme cold) when possible.
Troubleshooting
This section provides guidance on common issues you might encounter. For complex problems, consult a qualified technician.
Display Issues
- Display Not Turning On:
- Check battery connection and charge level.
- Ensure the 5-Pin connection cable between the display and controller is securely attached.
- Verify the e-bike's main power switch is on.
- Incorrect Speed/Mileage Readings:
- Check the wheel diameter setting in the display's personalized parameters.
- Ensure the tachymeter signal wire (7) is correctly connected.
- Fault Codes Displayed:
- Note down the fault code and refer to your e-bike's specific fault code list (if available) or contact customer support for diagnosis.
Controller Issues
- Motor Not Responding:
- Check all motor cable (2, 3, 4, 9) and Hall sensor connections.
- Verify battery voltage is above the under-voltage protection threshold.
- Check for any fault codes on the display.
- Intermittent Power/Motor Cut-off:
- Could be due to high temperature protection; allow the controller to cool down.
- Check for loose connections or damaged wiring.
- Ensure the motor is not blocked, triggering rotation protection.
