6.3 TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Function
The TWS function allows two ZK-DAM H2 units to be paired for stereo sound. This is particularly useful for creating a wider soundstage with separate left and right channels.

TWS Connection Method:
- Ensure both ZK-DAM H2 products are powered on.
- Verify that Bluetooth is NOT connected and no USB drive or AUX cable is inserted into either unit.
- On one of the products, long press and hold the MIC_VOL adjustment knob for more than 3 seconds. The red TWS indicator light will start flashing, indicating it is searching for a matching box.
- After successful pairing, the TWS indicator light on the first product will remain on (for the left channel), while the TWS indicator light on the second product will flash (for the right channel).
- Once paired, the TWS function will work normally in BT, USB, and AUX modes.
TWS Cancellation Method:
Long press the MIC_VOL adjustment knob of either paired product for more than 3 seconds. The red TWS indicator light will turn off, confirming that the TWS function has been canceled.
TWS Clearing Pairing Records:
After TWS pairing, both the host and slave units record each other, which can make it difficult for a third party to pair successfully. To clear these records, long press the MUSIC_VOL adjustment knob for more than 3 seconds.
Note on TWS Mode:
- In TWS mode, only the host unit will emit the sound from the microphone.
- Decoding of FLAC and APE songs from a USB drive may experience lag in TWS mode, which is not the case in non-TWS mode.
7. Maintenance
- Clean the device regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Ensure all connections are secure and free from dust or debris.
- Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ZK-DAM H2, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No sound output | Incorrect power supply; loose audio connections; incorrect input mode selected; amplifier/speakers off. | Verify power supply (8-36V DC) and connections. Ensure amplifier/speakers are on. Short press MIC_VOL to cycle through input modes (BT/USB/AUX). |
| Microphone not working | Microphone not connected properly; MIC_VOL too low; microphone echo/bass/treble set to minimum. | Check microphone connection. Adjust MIC_VOL, MIC_BASS, MIC_TREBLE, and MIC_REVERB knobs. |
| Bluetooth pairing failure | USB drive or AUX cable inserted; device already paired; TWS mode active. | Ensure no USB or AUX cable is inserted. Clear TWS pairing records (long press MUSIC_VOL for 3s). Try pairing again. |
| TWS pairing issues | Incorrect pairing procedure; existing pairing records. | Follow TWS connection method carefully. Clear TWS pairing records on both units (long press MUSIC_VOL for 3s) before attempting to pair again. |
| Lag when playing FLAC/APE via USB in TWS mode | Limitation of TWS mode. | This is a known characteristic in TWS mode. Consider using non-TWS mode for high-fidelity audio from USB, or use other audio formats. |
