The Ronix 8613 features a 10mm 2-sleeve keyless chuck for quick and easy bit changes.

  1. To Install: Rotate the front sleeve of the chuck counter-clockwise until the jaws are open wide enough to insert the bit. Insert the desired drill or screwdriver bit. Rotate the front sleeve clockwise to tighten the chuck jaws firmly around the bit. Ensure the bit is centered and secure.
  2. To Remove: Rotate the front sleeve of the chuck counter-clockwise to loosen the jaws and remove the bit.

6. Operation

6.1. Power On/Off and Speed Control

  • The tool is activated by pressing the trigger switch.
  • The speed is variable and controlled by the amount of pressure applied to the trigger. Light pressure results in lower speed, while full pressure results in maximum speed.
  • The tool has two speed settings: 0-400 RPM (low speed for high torque applications) and 0-1500 RPM (high speed for fast drilling). Use the speed selector switch on top of the tool to choose between these ranges.

6.2. Forward/Reverse Rotation

A forward/reverse selector switch is located above the trigger. Push the switch to the left for forward rotation (screwing in, drilling) and to the right for reverse rotation (removing screws). Position the switch in the center to lock the trigger and prevent accidental starting.

6.3. Torque Adjustment (Clutch Settings)

The Ronix 8613 features 18 clutch settings and a drill mode. Rotate the torque adjustment ring (located behind the chuck) to select the desired setting.

  • Screwing: Use lower torque settings (1-17) for smaller screws and softer materials to prevent over-tightening or stripping. Increase the setting for larger screws or harder materials. The maximum torque is 26 N.m.
  • Drilling: For drilling, always select the drill mode symbol (drill bit icon) on the torque adjustment ring. This bypasses the clutch and provides maximum power.

6.4. Drilling and Screwing

  • Drilling: Select the drill mode. Start drilling at a low speed to create a pilot hole, then increase speed as needed. Apply steady, even pressure.
  • Screwing: Select an appropriate clutch setting. Start at a low speed and gradually increase. The clutch will disengage when the set torque is reached, preventing damage to the screw head or workpiece.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Keep the tool's ventilation openings clean to prevent overheating. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Chuck Maintenance: Periodically clean the chuck jaws to ensure proper gripping.
  • Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not store fully discharged batteries for extended periods.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect the tool for any signs of damage, loose screws, or worn parts. Have any issues repaired by qualified personnel.

8. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Tool does not startBattery not charged or improperly installed; Forward/reverse switch in center (locked) position.Charge battery and ensure it is securely installed. Move forward/reverse switch to either forward or reverse position.
Battery not chargingCharger not plugged in; Faulty battery or charger.Check power connection. Try a different outlet. If problem persists, contact customer support.
Bit slips in chuckChuck not tightened sufficiently; Bit shank is dirty or damaged.Ensure chuck is tightened firmly. Clean or replace the bit.
Tool stops during operationOverload protection activated; Battery is low.Reduce pressure on the tool. Charge the battery.

9. User Tips

  • For delicate tasks or when working with soft materials, always start with a lower torque setting and gradually increase if needed. This prevents damage to the workpiece or stripping screw heads.
  • Utilize the two-speed gearbox effectively: use the lower speed (0-400 RPM) for driving screws and applications requiring higher torque, and the higher speed (0-1500 RPM) for faster drilling.
  • Keep your bits sharp and clean. Dull bits require more force and can lead to inefficient work and potential damage to the tool or material.
