Operating Instructions

Once the pressure washer is set up, follow these steps for operation:

  1. Purge Air: Before turning on the power, squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to allow water to flow through the system and purge any air. Continue until a steady stream of water emerges.
  2. Start the Machine: Turn the On/Off switch to the "ON" position. The motor will start.
  3. Begin Cleaning: Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to start the high-pressure spray.
  4. Adjust Spray: Rotate the adjustable lance to change the spray pattern from a narrow jet to a wide fan, depending on your cleaning needs.
  5. Auto-Stop System: The RP-U100 features an auto-stop system. The motor will automatically shut off when the trigger is released and restart when the trigger is pressed again. This prolongs motor life and saves energy.
  6. Thermo Switch: The integrated thermo switch protects the motor from overheating by automatically shutting it down if it gets too hot. Allow the motor to cool down before restarting.
  7. Stop Operation: To stop cleaning, release the trigger. For extended breaks or when finished, turn the On/Off switch to "OFF" and disconnect the power.
  8. Relieve Pressure: After turning off the machine and disconnecting power, squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to release any remaining pressure in the system.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your pressure washer.

  • Before Each Use: Check the power cord, plug, and high-pressure hose for any damage. Inspect the water inlet filter for debris and clean if necessary.
  • After Each Use:
    • Turn off the machine and disconnect from power.
    • Turn off the water supply and relieve pressure from the system by squeezing the gun trigger.
    • Disconnect all hoses and drain any remaining water from the pump and hoses to prevent freezing damage in cold weather.
    • Wipe down the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
  • Storage: Store the pressure washer in a dry, frost-free environment. Coil the high-pressure hose and power cord neatly.
  • Nozzle Cleaning: If the spray pattern becomes irregular or pressure drops, the nozzle may be clogged. Use the included nozzle cleaning tool (if applicable) to clear any blockages.

User Tips

  • Choose the Right Nozzle: For general cleaning, start with a wider spray pattern and gradually narrow it if more concentrated power is needed. Avoid using the narrowest jet on delicate surfaces.
  • Test in an Inconspicuous Area: Always test the spray on a small, hidden area first to ensure it doesn't damage the surface.
  • Work from Top to Bottom: When cleaning vertical surfaces, start from the bottom and work your way up to allow cleaning solutions to soak, then rinse from top to bottom.
  • Prevent Kinks: Ensure the high-pressure hose and garden hose are free of kinks before and during operation to maintain consistent water flow and pressure.
