4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Device Overview

  • Power Connector: For connecting the car charger.
  • Rear Camera Port: For connecting the optional rear camera.
  • TF Card Slot: For inserting a TF (MicroSD) card for multimedia playback or storage.
  • AUX Port: For connecting to your car's AUX input for audio output.

4.2 Mounting the Device

The Develuck Carplay Screen is designed for portable and easy installation on your car's dashboard. Use the provided mounting bracket to secure the device in a position that does not obstruct your view or interfere with driving controls.

4.3 Power Connection

Connect the provided car charger to the device's power connector and then to your vehicle's 12-24V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket). Ensure a secure connection. It is crucial to use the original charger to prevent damage to the device or improper function of features like FM transmission.

4.4 Optional Rear Camera Installation

If you have purchased the optional rear camera, connect its cable to the dedicated "Rear Camera" port on the device. Route the cable safely and install the camera at the rear of your vehicle according to its specific instructions. The system will automatically display the rear view when reversing.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Initial Power On and Interface

Once powered on, the device will boot up and display the main interface. The 10.26-inch IPS touch screen allows for intuitive navigation through menus and applications.

5.2 Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto

The device supports both wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. To connect your smartphone:

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
  2. On the Carplay Screen, navigate to the CarPlay or Android Auto section.
  3. Pair your phone to the device's Bluetooth (e.g., "TBB-TX2C14").
  4. Follow any on-screen prompts on both your phone and the Carplay Screen to complete the connection. For Android Auto, you may need to download the latest Android Auto application on your phone.

5.3 Split Screen Display

The device supports split-screen functionality, allowing you to run two applications simultaneously (e.g., navigation and media player). To activate:

  1. Tap the split-screen button on the main interface.
  2. Select the applications you wish to display in split-screen mode.
  3. To exit split-screen, click on the 'Auxiliary' button and select 'Full Screen'.

5.4 Multimedia Playback

The device supports multimedia playback from various sources:

  • TF Card: Insert a TF (MicroSD) card into the designated slot. The device will automatically detect and allow you to browse and play media files (MP4, MJPG, etc.).
  • Streaming Apps: Built-in applications like YouTube, Netflix, and TikTok can be used when connected to Wi-Fi.
  • CarPlay/Android Auto: Stream music and videos directly from your connected smartphone.

5.5 Audio Output Methods

You can output audio from the Carplay Screen using several methods:

  • Speaker Output: When playing media from a USB drive, the sound can be heard from the small horn on the back of the device.
  • Bluetooth Audio: For CarPlay/Android Auto, connect your phone directly to the original car's Bluetooth system. The Carplay Screen can transmit Bluetooth audio to your car's system.
  • FM Signal Output: Transmit the audio signal via FM radio to your original car radio. Tune your car radio to the selected FM frequency on the Carplay Screen.
  • AUX Line Output: Insert the 3.5mm AUX cable into the device's AUX port and connect it to your car's AUX input. The sound will be transferred to your car's audio system.

5.6 Dual Wi-Fi Connection

After connecting to your phone via CarPlay or Android Auto, you can use the device's Wi-Fi to connect to your phone's hotspot. This enables a dual Wi-Fi connection, allowing you to browse online content like YouTube and Netflix directly on the Carplay Screen.

Note for iPhone users: To ensure proper hotspot connectivity and simultaneous CarPlay/hotspot usage, you may need to enable the "Maximize Compatibility" option in your iPhone's Personal Hotspot settings. Mobile phones without this option may not support simultaneous connection to CarPlay and personal hotspots.

5.7 Voice Control

The device supports Siri (for CarPlay) and Google Voice Control (for Android Auto). Activate voice commands to control navigation, music playback, calls, and other functions hands-free.

6. Maintenance

  • Software Updates: Periodically check for software updates through the device's settings menu to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
  • Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, disconnect it from power and store it in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting
