- COOL: Water temperature ≤ 77°F (25°C)
Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the receiver and transmitter when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure to use 2 x AAA batteries for each unit.
- Cleaning: Wipe the units with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the receiver in water. The transmitter is IPX8 waterproof and can be submerged.
- Storage: If storing the thermometer for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage. Store in a dry place at room temperature.
- Waterproof Seal: Always ensure the transmitter's battery compartment is securely closed and sealed to maintain its IPX8 waterproof rating.
Troubleshooting
- No Reading on Receiver / '---' Displayed:
-
- Ensure batteries are correctly installed in both the receiver and transmitter.
- Check if the batteries are depleted and replace them if necessary.
- Move the receiver closer to the transmitter. The maximum transmission range is 500 feet in an open environment, but obstacles can reduce this.
- Resynchronize the units by holding the 'CH/SYNC' button on the receiver for 3 seconds.
- Inaccurate Temperature Readings:
-
- Ensure the transmitter is fully submerged in the water for accurate water temperature readings.
- Verify that the transmitter's waterproof seal is intact and no water has entered the battery compartment.
- Compare readings with another reliable thermometer to confirm accuracy.
- Display is Dim or Unresponsive:
-
- Replace the batteries in the affected unit.
- Ensure the unit is not exposed to extreme temperatures outside its operating range.
