User Manual

Introduction

The ThermoPro TP211B is a wireless pool thermometer designed to accurately monitor water temperature in various aquatic environments such as swimming pools, spas, hot tubs, fish ponds, and aquariums. It features an easy-to-read display, IPX8 waterproof rating for the transmitter, and a long transmission range, allowing you to conveniently monitor temperatures from a distance.

Setup

  1. Install Batteries in Sensor: Open the battery compartment of the floating sensor (transmitter) and install 2 x AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  2. Align and Secure Sensor: Ensure the metal parts of the sensor are properly aligned and press them together firmly to seal the unit.
  3. Prepare Sensor for Water: Keep the antenna, signal light, and rope hole aligned. The rope can be used to secure the sensor in the water.
  4. Install Batteries in Receiver: Open the battery compartment of the receiver unit and install 2 x AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  5. Synchronize Units: Press and hold the 'CH/SYNC' button on the receiver for 3 seconds to resynchronize with the transmitter.

Once paired, the receiver will display the indoor temperature and humidity, along with the water temperature from the transmitter.

Operating Instructions

Display Overview

  • Indoor Temperature: Displays the ambient temperature around the receiver.
  • Humidity: Shows the indoor humidity level.
  • Channel Select (CH): Indicates the channel of the connected sensor. Up to three sensors can be paired.
  • Water Temperature: Displays the temperature from the floating sensor.
  • Comfort Indicator: Provides a quick visual cue for water comfort levels (HOT, COMFORT, COOL).
  • Trend Indicator: Arrows (↗, →, ↘) show whether temperature and humidity are increasing, steady, or decreasing.

Button Functions

  • CH/SYNC: Press to switch between sensor channels (if multiple sensors are used). Press and hold for 3 seconds to synchronize with a new or existing sensor.
  • ℃/℉: Press to switch the temperature display between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
  • MAX/MIN/CLEAR: Press to view the maximum and minimum temperature/humidity records for the last 24 hours or all time. Press and hold to clear the records.
  • Light Bulb Icon: Activates the backlight for easy reading in dim conditions.

Water Comfort Levels

  • HOT: Water temperature ≥ 84°F (29°C)
  • COMFORT: Water temperature between 77°F and 84°F (25°C and 29°C)
  • COOL: Water temperature ≤ 77°F (25°C)

Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the receiver and transmitter when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure to use 2 x AAA batteries for each unit.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the units with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the receiver in water. The transmitter is IPX8 waterproof and can be submerged.
  • Storage: If storing the thermometer for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage. Store in a dry place at room temperature.
  • Waterproof Seal: Always ensure the transmitter's battery compartment is securely closed and sealed to maintain its IPX8 waterproof rating.

Troubleshooting

No Reading on Receiver / '---' Displayed:
  • Ensure batteries are correctly installed in both the receiver and transmitter.
  • Check if the batteries are depleted and replace them if necessary.
  • Move the receiver closer to the transmitter. The maximum transmission range is 500 feet in an open environment, but obstacles can reduce this.
  • Resynchronize the units by holding the 'CH/SYNC' button on the receiver for 3 seconds.
Inaccurate Temperature Readings:
  • Ensure the transmitter is fully submerged in the water for accurate water temperature readings.
  • Verify that the transmitter's waterproof seal is intact and no water has entered the battery compartment.
  • Compare readings with another reliable thermometer to confirm accuracy.
Display is Dim or Unresponsive:
  • Replace the batteries in the affected unit.
  • Ensure the unit is not exposed to extreme temperatures outside its operating range.
