Operating Instructions

Engaging and Disengaging the Brake

Your SucceBuy casters are equipped with a foot-operated brake for secure positioning.

  • To Engage the Brake: Press down firmly on the non-slip brake pedal with your foot until it locks into place. This will lift the workbench approximately 3/4" (19 mm) off the ground, preventing movement.
  • To Disengage the Brake: Gently lift the brake pedal with your foot. The workbench will lower, allowing the casters to roll freely.

Moving the Workbench

The 360-degree swivel design allows for easy and flexible movement in any direction.

  • Ensure all brakes are disengaged before attempting to move the workbench.
  • Apply gentle, even pressure to guide the workbench in the desired direction. The dual ball bearings ensure smooth and silent gliding.
  • For precise positioning, utilize the 360° omnidirectional rotation capability to maneuver around obstacles or into tight spaces.

Maintenance

  • Regular Cleaning: Keep the wheels and swivel mechanisms free from dust, debris, and obstructions. Use a damp cloth to wipe down the polyurethane wheels and metal components.
  • Lubrication: Periodically apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the swivel bearings and wheel axles to ensure smooth operation and prevent squeaking. Avoid excessive lubrication, which can attract dirt.
  • Inspect Fasteners: Regularly check all screws, nuts, and washers to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten any loose fasteners to maintain stability and safety.
  • Wheel Inspection: Examine the polyurethane wheels for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. While designed to be floor-friendly and leave no marks, damaged wheels may compromise performance and floor protection.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Casters not rolling smoothly Debris in wheels/bearings; lack of lubrication; damaged wheel. Clean wheels and bearings. Apply lubricant. Inspect for damage and replace if necessary.
Brake not engaging/disengaging Mechanism obstructed; worn brake components. Clear any obstructions. Check for wear and tear on the brake pedal and mechanism.
Workbench unstable or wobbling Loose mounting screws; uneven installation. Tighten all mounting screws. Ensure casters are installed at the same height and level.
Squeaking noise during movement Dry bearings or swivel mechanism. Apply lubricant to the swivel and wheel bearings.

User Tips

  • For heavy workbenches, consider installing the casters slightly inward from the corners to distribute weight more effectively and enhance stability.
  • When moving the workbench, try to keep the path clear of small debris or cords to prevent snagging or damage to the wheels.
  • If your workbench is frequently moved across different floor types, regularly check the polyurethane wheels for embedded particles that could scratch sensitive surfaces.
  • Always engage the brakes when performing tasks that require a stable surface, such as cutting, drilling, or precision assembly.
