1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the BQCC 7-inch Portable Car MP5 Player (Model B5300). This device is designed to enhance your in-car entertainment and connectivity experience with features like Wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, Mirrorlink, Bluetooth, FM transmission, and various multimedia playback options. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure proper operation and to maximize your enjoyment of the product.

2. Key Features

  • High-Resolution Display: 7-inch 1024x600 screen with bright colors and delicate picture texture.
  • Versatile Mounting: Includes both a vertical stand and a suction cup stand for flexible installation.
  • Wireless & Wired Connectivity: Supports Wireless Apple CarPlay, Wireless Android Auto, and Wired Mirrorlink.
  • Bluetooth 5.0: For stable mobile phone Bluetooth music and calls.
  • FM Transmitter: Transmit audio to your original car's audio system.
  • Multimedia Playback: Supports USB and TF card for music, video, and image files.
  • Reversing Camera Input: Automatically switches to the backup camera view when a signal is detected (camera optional).
  • Intelligent Voice Control: Control various functions via voice commands for safer driving.
  • Built-in Speaker: 1W speaker for direct audio output.

3. Setup and Installation

The device comes with two types of mounting brackets. The actual received mounting bracket shall prevail.

3.1. Mounting Methods

Method 1: Glass Suction Cup Suspension Installation

  1. Assemble the stand and attach the suction cup to the glass.
  2. Ensure the suction cup is firmly secured to a clean, smooth surface on your windshield.

Method 2: Desktop Horizontal Installation

  1. Attach the desktop bracket to the device.
  2. Place the device on a flat, stable surface on your dashboard.

3.2. Power Supply

This device is powered by the cigarette lighter power plug. After installing the device, insert the power plug into the car's cigarette lighter socket to power it on.

3.3. Product Accessories

The complete machine list includes:

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. UI Interface Display

The device features an intuitive UI for easy navigation and control of various functions.

4.2. Audio Output Methods

There are three primary methods for audio output:

  1. Built-in Speaker: When playing music from a USB flash drive, the sound will be emitted from the built-in 1W speaker located on the back of the device.
  2. AUX Line Transmission: Connect the 3.5mm audio cable to transmit sound to the original car player. (Note: Only some car models support AUX input.)
  3. FM Signal Transmission: The portable player transmits the signal, and the original car radio receives the signal and plays the sound.

FM Transmission Signal Operation Method:

  1. Choose one of the preset 12 frequencies (e.g., 93.6MHz) to transmit on the portable player, avoiding overlapping with local broadcasts to prevent interference.
  2. Search for the chosen frequency (e.g., 93.6MHz) on your original car radio.
  3. At this point, the sound from the portable player will be output through your original car speaker.

4.3. Bluetooth Pairing Connection

You can use Bluetooth for music playback or hands-free calls. When using wireless CarPlay or Android Auto, you need to pair the Bluetooth connection first.

  • Device Bluetooth Name: "CarPlay" (default)
  • PIN Number: "0000" or "1234" (if required)

Connection Method:

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your mobile phone.
  3. Search for devices and select the Bluetooth name of the current machine ("CarPlay") to connect.

4.4. CarPlay (Wired & Wireless)

CarPlay allows you to use iPhone features safely while driving. You can access navigation, make calls, send/receive messages, and listen to music.

Wired Connection:

Simply connect your iPhone using a USB data cable, and the device will automatically enter the CarPlay interface.

Wireless Connection:

  1. First, enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your iPhone.
  2. Connect to the device's Bluetooth.
  3. The device will automatically enter the CarPlay interface. (Note: The signal is transmitted via Wi-Fi, so it will function normally even if Bluetooth is turned off. CarPlay will disconnect if Wi-Fi is off.)

4.5. Android Auto (Wired & Wireless)

Android Auto connects your Android phone to the car screen, displaying your Android apps. You can get directions, send texts by voice, or make hands-free calls.

Wired Connection:

  1. Ensure your phone runs Android 6.0 or higher and has a valid data cable.
  2. Download and install the "Android Auto" app from Google Play.
  3. Connect your Android phone using a USB data cable, and the device will automatically enter the Android Auto interface.

Wireless Connection:

  1. First, enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your Android phone.
  2. Connect to the device's Bluetooth.
  3. The device will automatically enter the Android Auto interface. (Note: The signal is transmitted via Wi-Fi, so it will function normally even if Bluetooth is turned off. Android Auto will disconnect if Wi-Fi is off.)

4.6. Mirrorlink (Screen Mirroring)

Mirrorlink allows you to screen mirror your mobile phone's content onto the player screen. It is compatible with both Android and iOS systems.

iPhone Connection:

Connect your iPhone to the USB cable to cast the screen. You cannot control your iPhone from the player screen in this mode.

Android Connection:

After connecting the USB data cable, you will be prompted to install an APP. After installation, reconnect the data cable to enter screen mirroring mode. You can operate from both the player screen and the phone screen. Note: Only image transfer is successful; audio requires Bluetooth connection.

4.7. Multimedia Playback (USB/TF Card)

The device supports playing music, pictures, and video files from USB and TF card devices.

4.8. Reversing Camera Input (Optional)

The reversing video input can be connected via the RCA adapter cable. When a signal is received at this port, the LCD will automatically switch to the camera image. (The camera is purchased separately).

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
  • Software Updates: Keep the device's software updated for optimal performance. Contact customer service for information on available updates.

6. Troubleshooting

Common Problems and Solutions:

  1. No sound from the device:
    a. Ensure the AUX cable is plugged in and the FM transmitter is turned on (if using FM).
    b. If the FM transmitter is on, there will be no sound from the built-in speakers.
    c. Check the volume settings on the device and your car radio.
  2. Bluetooth not working properly:
    Delete the paired "CarPlay" (or "SWL-BT") device from your mobile phone's Bluetooth settings, then re-search and reconnect.
  3. Cannot automatically connect with CarPlay or Android Auto:
    a. For wired connection, ensure CarPlay or Android Auto is set as the default connection mode in the PhoneLink settings interface.
    b. For wireless connection, ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on your mobile phone. The device will automatically jump to the CarPlay or Android Auto interface once Bluetooth is connected.
  4. Sound of music playback or phone calls is low:
    Press and hold your finger on the top of the screen and slide down the status bar to adjust the playback volume. During a call, return to the main interface and pull down the status bar to adjust the call volume.
  5. Device does not remember time, date, or settings:
    The device does not have a built-in battery. Time and date will automatically update after connecting to a mobile phone.
  6. Cannot play TF card, USB music, or video:
    Use 8GB or 16GB TF cards and USB devices. Some large-capacity storage devices may not be supported. Format storage devices to FAT32 file system. Ensure media files are in common formats (MP3/AAC/APE/OGG/M4A/RA/WAV for audio; H263/H264/H265/DIVX HD/AVI/FLV/MKV/MPEG/MP4/WMV9/VC/ASF/TS/QT for video; JPEG/PNG/BMP/GIF/TIFF for images).
  7. Screen does not light up:
    a. Check that the power supply is correctly connected. The USB light on the cigarette lighter plug should be on.
    b. If the screen still doesn't light up after confirming power, press and hold the reset button on the back of the device for 3 seconds.
    c. If it's a software problem, contact customer service for a software upgrade.
  8. Cannot use a rear view camera from the original car/other brand:
    The camera of the original car or other brands is not suitable for this device. Only compatible cameras should be used.

9. User Tips

  • Factory Password: The factory setting password is 113266. This may be needed for advanced menu access or firmware updates.
  • Firmware Updates: For firmware updates, please contact customer service for instructions and files.
  • Sound Quality: If you experience low sound volume, check both the device's volume settings and your car's radio volume. Ensure proper FM frequency matching or AUX cable connection.
  • Screen Issues: If the screen does not light up, first verify the power connection. If the issue persists, try pressing and holding the reset button on the back of the device for 3 seconds.
  • Camera Compatibility: Note that only compatible cameras are suitable for this device. Original car cameras or cameras from other brands may not work.
