1. Introduction

The ANCEL AD710 is a professional automotive diagnostic tool designed to provide comprehensive diagnostics for various vehicle systems. 3. Setup and Initial Use

3.1 Powering the Device

The ANCEL AD710 is powered directly from your vehicle's OBDII connector. No external battery or charger is required for basic operation.

3.2 Connecting to the Vehicle

  1. Locate the vehicle's 16-pin OBDII diagnostic port. This port is usually located under the dashboard on the driver's side.
  2. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is in the 'OFF' position.
  3. Connect the OBD Diagnostic Cable to the ANCEL AD710 unit.
  4. Plug the other end of the OBD Diagnostic Cable into the vehicle's OBDII port.
  5. Turn the vehicle's ignition to the 'ON' position (engine can be off). The AD710 unit will power on automatically.

3.3 App Download for Bluetooth Mode (Optional)

4.1 General Navigation

4.4 12V Complete Battery Test

The AD710 supports testing of 6V and 12V lead-acid batteries with Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) ranging from 100 to 2000. This function provides accurate battery health analysis.

4.5 Reset Services (Lifetime Free)

The AD710 offers two crucial reset functions:

4.5.1 ABS Bleeding

This function exhausts air from the ABS pump to ensure the normal operation of the ABS system.

  1. Step 1: First Flush Cycle.
  2. Step 2: Front Bleeding.
  3. Step 3: Second Flush Cycle.
  4. Step 4: Rear Bleeding.

4.5.2 EPB (Electronic Parking Brake) Replace Brake Pads

After replacing the brake pads, the service life of the new brake pads needs to be reset.

4.6 DTC Lookup

The DTC Lookup function allows you to view the definition of a fault code directly on the device screen, eliminating the need to search online. It shows the code and its meaning.

4.7 DLC PIN Test

This feature detects the voltage of the 16-pin DLC (Data Link Connector) diagnosis, helping to identify potential wiring or power issues with the OBDII port.
