4. Setup Guide
4.1. Installation
- Ensure the power to the light socket is turned off before installation.
- Screw the camera into a standard E27 light socket.
- Turn on the power to the light socket. The camera will power on and begin its startup sequence.
The camera is designed for easy and quick installation, compatible with most bulb sockets. It can be installed in various orientations such as hoisting, plug-in socket, wall lamp, or table lamp.

4.2. App Download and Connection
- Download the "Smart Life" or "TuyaSmart" app from the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). You can also scan the QR code provided below to download the app.
- Open the app and register for an account or log in if you already have one.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add your device. This typically involves selecting "Add Device", choosing "Smart Camera", and then scanning the QR code on the camera or following the network pairing steps.
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4Ghz. The camera does not support 5Ghz Wi-Fi.
- If connection fails, reset the camera and try again. Resetting the camera can often speed up the connection process.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Remote Control (PTZ)
Once connected to the app, you can remotely control the camera's pan and tilt functions. The camera head can rotate 355° horizontally (pan) and 120° vertically (tilt), providing a comprehensive view of your surroundings. Use the directional controls within the app to adjust the camera's viewing angle.

5.2. Motion Detection & Alerts
The camera features advanced human motion detection and smart tracking. When motion is detected, the camera will automatically track the moving object and record video. An alert notification will be pushed to your smartphone in real-time, allowing you to monitor your property effectively.

5.3. Two-Way Audio
The built-in microphone and speaker enable two-way audio communication. You can listen to what's happening around the camera and speak through the camera using your smartphone app. This feature is useful for communicating with visitors or deterring intruders.

5.4. Night Vision
The camera offers both infrared and full-color night vision modes. Equipped with 4 infrared lights and 4 white LED lights, it can display clear images even in extremely dark environments, extending your night vision range by at least 65 feet.

The camera supports both local storage via a TF (Micro SD) card and cloud storage. You can insert a Class-10 TF card (8-128GB, not included) for continuous recording. 6. Maintenance
6.1. SD Card Management
- Use a Class-10 Micro SD card (8-128GB) for optimal performance.
- Ensure the SD card is formatted to the default mode before its first use in the camera.
- The camera supports loop recording, meaning old recordings will be automatically overwritten by new ones when the card is full.
6.2. Cleaning
To maintain clear image quality, periodically clean the camera lens with a soft, dry cloth. For outdoor installations, ensure the camera's exterior is free from dirt, dust, and debris that might obstruct the view or affect its waterproof sealing.
7. Troubleshooting
- Cannot connect to Wi-Fi:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4Ghz. The camera does not support 5Ghz Wi-Fi.
- Check your Wi-Fi password for correctness.
- Reset the camera and try the connection process again. Resetting can resolve temporary network issues.
- Ensure the camera is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
- No image or poor image quality:
- Check the power supply to the camera.
- Ensure the lens is clean and free from obstructions.
- Verify your internet connection speed.
- Adjust the camera's position for better lighting conditions.
- Motion alerts not received:
- Check app notification settings on your smartphone and within the Smart Life/TuyaSmart app.
- Ensure motion detection is enabled in the app settings.
- Verify the camera has a stable internet connection.
- Two-way audio not working:
- Check microphone and speaker permissions for the app on your smartphone.
- Ensure the volume on your phone and within the app is turned up.
- Verify the camera's microphone and speaker are not obstructed.
8. User Tips
- Continuous Recording: The camera supports 24/7 continuous recording when an SD card is inserted. Older footage will be overwritten automatically (loop recording).
- Optimal SD Card: Always use a Class-10 Micro SD card for reliable recording performance.
- Placement: While waterproof, consider placing the camera under an overhang or in a sheltered spot for extended longevity, especially in harsh weather conditions.
- App Notifications: Customize your app notification settings to receive alerts only for relevant events, reducing false alarms.
