3. Device Layout and Controls

Familiarize yourself with the main components and controls of your SVB304 endoscope:

  1. Camera Module (A): The flexible probe with dual lenses and LED lights.
  2. Steering Lever (B): Used to articulate the camera module bidirectionally.

4. Setup Instructions

  1. Charge the Device: Before first use, fully charge the endoscope using the provided USB cable and a compatible 5V power adapter. The Power/Charging Indicator Light (G) will show charging status.
  2. Insert Memory Card: Ensure the 32GB MicroSD card is properly inserted into the TF Card slot (N). This is necessary for saving photos and videos.
  3. Power On: Press and hold the Power/Light Adjustment Key (F) to turn on the device. The 4.3-inch HD display will light up.
  4. Language Selection: If prompted, select your preferred language using the Up/Down buttons (C, E) and confirm with the OK button (J). The device supports 8 languages including English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, French, German, and Portuguese.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Operation

  1. Live View: Once powered on, the device will typically enter live view mode, displaying the camera feed on the screen.
  2. Adjust Camera Light: Press the Power/Light Adjustment Key (F) to cycle through different brightness levels for the camera LEDs.
  3. Activate Rear Work Light: Use the Auxiliary Lighting Switch (H) to turn on/off the rear work light (L) for better visibility in dark environments.
  4. Switch Lenses: Press the Album Preview/Lens Switch Button (I) to toggle between the front and side lenses of the camera module. This allows for full-range observation without needing to adjust the probe angle.

5.2 Advanced Functions

  1. Articulation: Use the Steering Lever (B) to control the 210° bidirectional articulation of the camera module. This allows you to navigate the probe around corners and obstacles. The bending radius is 35mm.
  2. Zoom: During live view, press the Up/Zoom In Button (C) to zoom in (up to 8x optical zoom) and the Down/Image Rotation Button (E) to zoom out.
  3. Image Rotation: Press the Down/Image Rotation Button (E) to rotate the image on the screen for optimal viewing.
  4. Capture Photo/Video: Press the Photo/Video Button (K) once to take a photo. Press and hold it to start video recording, and press it again to stop recording.
  5. Review Media: Press the Album Preview/Lens Switch Button (I) to enter the album mode and review captured photos and videos.
  6. Settings: Press the Settings/Back Button (D) to access system settings, where you can adjust parameters like date, time, and other preferences.

5.3 Connecting to a Smartphone (if applicable)

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Probe: The camera module and flexible hose are IP67 waterproof. After use, especially in dirty or wet environments, wipe the probe clean with a damp cloth. For stubborn grime, a mild detergent can be used. Ensure the probe is dry before storage.
  • Cleaning the Main Unit: Wipe the main unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or use harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: Store the endoscope in its protective case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Device Not Turning On: Ensure the battery is charged. If the device still doesn't turn on, try connecting it to a charger. If the issue persists, use a thin pin to press the Reset Key (M).
  • No Image on Screen: Check if the camera module is properly connected. Ensure the correct lens (front/side) is selected using button (I).
  • Poor Image Quality: Clean the camera lens. Adjust the LED brightness using button (F). Ensure the object is within the optimal depth of field (Front lens 25-100mm; Side lens 15-60mm).
  • Over-Temperature Alert: The device features an over-temperature sensor. If the temperature exceeds 80°C, a warning will be displayed, and the image will automatically resume once the temperature drops below 80°C. Allow the device to cool down before continuing operation.
  • Cannot Save Photos/Videos: Ensure a 32GB MicroSD card is inserted and has sufficient free space. Check if the card is properly formatted.

9.1 Warranty Information

From the date of receipt, AUTOOL provides a 3-YEAR WARRANTY for the main unit and all included accessories.

Warranty Access:

  1. The repair or replacement of products is determined by the actual breakdown situation of the product.
  2. AUTOOL guarantees to use brand new components, accessories, or devices for repair or replacement.
  3. If the product fails within 90 days after the customer receives it, the buyer should provide both video and picture evidence. AUTOOL will bear the shipping cost and provide the necessary accessories for the customer to replace it free of charge.
  4. If the product is received for more than 90 days, the customer will bear the appropriate cost, and AUTOOL will provide the parts for the customer to replace free of charge.

These conditions below shall NOT be in warranty range:

  1. The product is not purchased through official or authorized channels.
  2. The product breakdown is because the user does not follow product instructions to use or maintain the product.

  • Practice Articulation: Before using the endoscope in a critical or hard-to-reach area, practice controlling the bidirectional articulation in an open space to get a feel for its movement.
  • Optimal Lighting: Always adjust the camera's LED brightness and use the auxiliary rear light as needed to ensure clear visibility in dark inspection areas.
  • Secure Memory Card: Ensure the MicroSD card is securely inserted and regularly back up important photos and videos to prevent data loss.
  • Temperature Awareness: Pay attention to the over-temperature alert, especially during prolonged use in hot environments like engine bays. Allow the device to cool down if an alert appears.
