Setup Guide

1. Battery Charging

  1. Connect the provided USB charger to a USB power source (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter).
  2. Connect the 7.4V 400mAh LiPo battery to the charger.
  3. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
  4. Charging typically takes about 1 hour. Do not overcharge the battery.

2. Transmitter Setup

  1. Install 4 AA batteries (not included) into the remote control transmitter. Ensure correct polarity.
  2. Turn on the transmitter.

3. Aircraft Preparation

  1. **Install Landing Gear:** Gently push the main landing gear into the designated slots on the underside of the wings. Install the tail wheel into its slot.
  2. **Install Battery:** Open the battery compartment on the aircraft. Insert the fully charged LiPo battery and connect it to the aircraft's power connector. Secure the battery and close the compartment.
  3. **Propeller Check:** Ensure the propeller is securely attached and free from damage. If replacing, use the provided spare propeller.

Operating Instructions

1. Binding the Transmitter and Receiver

  1. Turn on the transmitter first.
  2. Connect the battery to the aircraft.
  3. Place the aircraft on a flat surface. The aircraft's LED will flash, then turn solid when successfully bound.
  4. If binding fails, repeat the steps.

2. Flight Modes (XPilot Stabilization System)

The XPilot system offers three flight modes to suit different skill levels:

  • Beginner Mode: Provides maximum stabilization and limits control inputs, making it easy for first-time flyers.
  • Intermediate Mode: Offers partial stabilization, allowing for more control while still providing assistance.
  • Expert Mode: Full manual control with no stabilization, ideal for experienced pilots performing advanced maneuvers.

Switch between modes using the designated button on your transmitter (refer to your transmitter's specific layout for the exact button).

3. Take-off

Ensure you are in an open, clear area, away from obstacles, people, and animals. Always check wind conditions; this aircraft has low anti-wind ability.

  1. **Hand Launch:** Hold the aircraft firmly, apply full throttle, and gently throw it forward into the wind.
  2. **Ground Take-off (with landing gear):** Place the aircraft on a smooth, flat surface. Apply full throttle and steer using the rudder (tail wheel linkage) until it gains sufficient speed for lift-off.

4. Flight Controls

The 4-channel remote control allows for precise flight maneuvers:

  • **Throttle:** Controls motor speed and altitude.
  • **Ailerons:** Controls roll (tilting wings left/right).
  • **Elevator:** Controls pitch (nose up/down).
  • **Rudder:** Controls yaw (nose left/right).

5. Aerobatics (One-Touch Stunt Function)

This model features a one-touch stunt function for performing aerobatics. Simply press the designated button on your transmitter to execute pre-programmed stunts like loops or rolls. Ensure sufficient altitude before attempting aerobatics.

6. Landing

When the battery is low or you are ready to land, reduce throttle and guide the aircraft towards a clear landing area. Gently pull back on the elevator to flare and reduce speed for a smooth touchdown.

Maintenance

  • **Cleaning:** Wipe the aircraft body with a soft, dry cloth after each flight. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
  • **Propeller Inspection:** Regularly check the propeller for cracks, bends, or damage. Replace immediately if any damage is found to prevent motor strain and ensure safe flight.
  • **Battery Care:** Store LiPo batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not store fully charged or fully discharged for extended periods. Always use the provided charger.
  • **Motor/Servo Check:** Ensure all moving parts (motor, servos, control surfaces) operate smoothly and are free from obstructions.
  • **Storage:** When not in use, store the aircraft and remote control in a safe place, preferably in its original packaging, to prevent damage.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Aircraft does not respond to controls.Low battery in aircraft or transmitter; Not bound; Out of range.Charge aircraft battery; Replace transmitter batteries; Re-bind aircraft and transmitter; Fly within specified range.
Aircraft flies erratically or is unstable.Damaged propeller; Gyro calibration issue; Strong wind conditions.Replace propeller; Re-calibrate gyro (refer to specific transmitter instructions if available); Fly in calm weather.
Short flight time.Battery not fully charged; Old/damaged battery; Aggressive flying.Ensure battery is fully charged; Replace battery if old/damaged; Fly more gently.
Motor not spinning.Battery not connected; Motor/ESC issue; Propeller jammed.Check battery connection; Inspect motor/propeller for obstructions; Contact support if issue persists.

User Tips

  • **Calm Weather is Key:** For the best and safest flight experience, especially for beginners, always fly in calm weather conditions with minimal wind.
  • **Pre-Flight Check:** Before each flight, quickly check all control surfaces (ailerons, elevator, rudder) for free movement and ensure the propeller is secure.
  • **Battery Management:** Always allow LiPo batteries to cool down before recharging. Never leave charging batteries unattended.
  • **Practice Makes Perfect:** Start in Beginner mode and gradually progress to Intermediate and Expert modes as your skills improve. Practice basic maneuvers at a safe altitude.
  • **Open Space:** Choose a large, open field away from trees, power lines, buildings, and people for flying.
