4. Safety Information

The Eigotrav PD-JA2(U2) features an intelligent protection system with 10 built-in safety functions to ensure safe operation. Always adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Protection Features: Overcharge, overvoltage, short circuit, overcurrent, overload, spark protection, reverse charge, reverse polarity, high and low temperature protection.
  • Reverse Polarity Alarm: If the intelligent clamp's positive and negative polarities are reversed, an automatic alarm will sound to alert you.
  • Battery Level: Ensure the jump starter's power is not below 50% before attempting to jump start a vehicle.
  • Continuous Use: Do not use the jump starter to start a vehicle continuously. Allow at least 30 seconds of rest between attempts.
  • Clamp Connection: Never connect the black clamp to the red clamp.
  • Engine Displacement: Not suitable for jump starting vehicles with an engine displacement larger than the recommended 7.5L for petrol or 6.0L for diesel.
  • Temperature: Do NOT jump start your car if the unit is too hot (e.g., right after charging or prolonged exposure to high temperatures). Do NOT charge the product if it feels hot to the touch.

5. Setup

Before first use, fully charge the Eigotrav U2 jump starter using the provided Micro USB cable and a 5V-2A power adapter (not included). The LCD display will show the battery level.

Charging the Device:

  1. Connect the Micro USB cable to the input port on the jump starter.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a 5V-2A USB power adapter.
  3. Allow the device to charge until the LCD display shows 100%.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Jump Starting a Vehicle

Ensure the jump starter has at least 50% charge before attempting to jump start.

  1. Plug in Intelligent Cables: Connect the intelligent battery clamp cable into the jump starter's designated port.
  2. Connect Clamps to Car Battery: Attach the red (+) clamp to the positive terminal of the car battery and the black (-) clamp to the negative terminal. Ensure a secure connection. If a reverse polarity alarm sounds, disconnect immediately and re-attach correctly.
  3. Start Car Engine: Turn on the power switch on the jump starter, then start your car engine.
  4. Remove Cables: Once the car starts, remove the intelligent cables from the car battery within 30 seconds. First, remove the black clamp, then the red clamp, and finally disconnect the cable from the jump starter.

6.2. Using the 150PSI Air Compressor

The built-in air compressor can inflate tires and other inflatables with a maximum pressure of 150 PSI.

  1. Connect Air Hose: Screw the air hose into the air output port on the jump starter.
  2. Attach Nozzle: Select the appropriate air nozzle for your item (car tire, bicycle tire, ball, etc.) and attach it to the air hose.
  3. Set Pressure: Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the device to set the desired pressure (PSI, KPA, or BAR). The LCD display will show the current and target pressure.
  4. Start Inflation: Press the 'M' button or power button to start the air compressor. It will automatically stop once the target pressure is reached.
  5. Monitor Pressure: The device can also be used to monitor tire pressure without inflation.

6.3. Using the LED Flashlight
