5. Setup
5.1. Mounting the Laser Module
- Attach the provided mounting board to your CNC machine or DIY laser engraver frame.
- Align the laser module with the mounting board. The green dots on the back of the module indicate the location of the installation holes.
- Secure the laser module to the mounting board using appropriate fasteners. The back mounting plate can be adjusted by sliding it up and down with the knob to achieve the appropriate position.

5.2. Cable Connections
Carefully connect the laser module to your control board. Ensure correct polarity and pin assignments to prevent damage.
- 3P Line Connection:
- 12V Line: Connect to the red wire.
- GND: Connect to the black wire.
- PWM: Connect to the yellow wire.
- 4P Line Connection:
- 12V+: Connect to the red wire.
- 12V-: Connect to the black wire.
- TTL+: Connect to the yellow wire.
- TTL: Connect to the white wire.

5.3. Focus Adjustment
The laser module features a fixed focus design. Use the provided focal length column to set the optimal working distance, typically 20mm from the material surface. Adjust the module's height until the laser beam is sharply focused on the material.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Power On
- Ensure all connections are secure and correct.
- Turn on the main power supply to your CNC machine or laser engraver.
- The laser module has an ON/OFF switch. Flip it to the 'ON' position.
- Once connected to the power supply, the built-in air blowing pump will automatically start to work. There is no need to manually activate it.

6.2. Engraving and Cutting
The AENBUSLM laser module is suitable for a wide range of materials:
- Compatible Materials: Wood, MDF, leather, bamboo, black acrylic, alumina.
- Incompatible Materials: Blue, purple, white, transparent materials, aluminum without an oxide layer.
The air assist feature helps to make material edges cleaner and clearer during cutting and engraving, increasing efficiency.

6.3. Anti-Tilt Safety Feature
The module is equipped with an anti-tilt device. Built-in metal balls sense the tilt of the machine. If the machine tilts significantly, the laser will be automatically stopped immediately to prevent accidents.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the laser lens and the module's exterior to ensure optimal performance. Use a soft, lint-free cloth and lens cleaning solution if necessary.
- Lens Replacement: The module comes with a replaceable protective lens. If the lens becomes damaged or excessively dirty, use the provided lens replacement tool to carefully replace it.
- Cooling System: The laser cutting module has a built-in fan cooling system with a fan speed of 10,000 rpm. Ensure the fan vents are clear of obstructions for efficient cooling and a longer lifespan.
- Air Pump: The built-in air pump requires minimal maintenance. Ensure the air intake is clear.

8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Laser not firing | Incorrect wiring, power supply issue, module switch off, software settings. | Check all cable connections (refer to Section 5.2). Ensure power supply is adequate. Verify module's ON/OFF switch is on. Check laser control software settings. |
| Poor engraving/cutting quality | Incorrect focus, wrong power/speed settings, dirty lens, incompatible material. | Adjust focus (Section 5.3). Optimize power and speed settings for the material. Clean the laser lens (Section 7). Ensure material is compatible (Section 6.2). |
| Air pump not working | Power issue, blocked air intake. | Ensure the module is powered on. Check for any obstructions in the air intake. The air pump starts automatically with power. |
| Module makes noise when shaking | Normal operation of anti-tilt device. | This is normal. The built-in metal balls for the anti-tilt device can make a noise when the machine is shaken. |
| Laser stops unexpectedly | Anti-tilt device activated. | Ensure the machine is on a stable, level surface. Avoid sudden movements or impacts during operation. |
| Excessive smoke/haze during operation | Insufficient air assist or ventilation. | Ensure the built-in air pump is functioning. If smoke is still hazy, consider adding an external fan for better ventilation. |
9. User Tips
- Test Settings: Always perform small test cuts or engravings on scrap material to dial in optimal power and speed settings before starting your main project.
- Ventilation is Key: Even with the built-in air pump, proper room ventilation is crucial to remove fumes and ensure a safe working environment.
- Keep it Clean: A clean lens and module body contribute significantly to consistent laser performance and longevity.
