Operational Guideline for Headset for FM Teaching

1. Product Overview

The eppfun Wireless FM Radio Headset (Model HRD-392) is designed for clear FM radio reception, featuring a built-in microphone, long play time, and automatic station scanning. Its foldable design makes it compact and lightweight for easy portability.

2. Setup and Controls

2.1 Appearance Diagram and Button Functions

The headset features an LCD display and several control buttons on the right earcup:

[VOL-] Volume down
[M1] Campus channel 1 memory/recall

2.2 Battery Installation

  1. Open the headset battery cover.
  2. Install two AAA batteries, ensuring correct positive and negative polarity.
  3. Close the battery cover securely.

Note: The headset uses 2 AAA batteries. The product description also mentions a built-in rechargeable lithium battery (650mAh) with up to 24 hours of play time and 2.5 hours charging. Please refer to the specific model variant for battery type.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power ON/OFF

  • To Power ON: After battery installation, lightly press the power button (⑉).
  • To Power OFF: Short press the power button (⑉).
  • Tip: The headset remembers the last frequency before powering off.

3.2 Receiving Programs (Channel Selection)

There are two methods for channel selection:

3.2.1 Manual Channel Search

  • When the headset is on, lightly press [CH+] or [CH-].
  • The LCD display will show the frequency changing up or down in 0.1MHz steps.

3.2.2 Automatic Radio Search

  • When the headset is on, long press [CH+] or [CH-] for 2 seconds to start automatic frequency search.
  • The search will stop automatically when a clear radio signal is received, and the program will play.
  • To stop automatic search, lightly press [CH+] or [CH-] again.

3.3 Volume Adjustment

  • Adjust Volume: When the headset is on, lightly press [VOL+] to increase volume or [VOL-] to decrease volume by one level.
  • Rapid Adjustment: Long press [VOL+] or [VOL-] to rapidly increase or decrease the volume level.
  • The minimum volume level is L00; the maximum level is L15.

3.4 Campus Channel Memory and Retrieval (M1/M2 Keys)

This product features one-button channel storage and retrieval for two campus radio channels.

3.4.1 Channel Saving Function

  • Adjust to the desired campus frequency using [CH+] or [CH-].
  • Long press [M1] or [M2] for 2 seconds. The frequency will flash once to confirm successful saving or replacement of the campus frequency point.

3.4.2 Channel Retrieval Function

  • When the headset is on, lightly press [M1] or [M2] to retrieve the saved campus frequency point and play the broadcast program.

5. Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Do not wipe the case with chemical agents to prevent corrosion of the surface. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Battery Storage: When the headset is not in use for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
  • Handling: Do not press, collide, throw, or pull the headset heavily to prevent damage.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Low Battery Indication: If the LCD display shows vague content, or if the sound is low, distorted, or beeping, the battery is low. Please change to new batteries.

7. Warranty and Support

  • Warranty Period: Unless otherwise specified, the warranty period for this product is one year from the date of purchase.
  • Warranty Exclusions: Products with obvious man-made damage, such as battery leakage corrosion, appearance damage/break/scratch, or LCD panel damage, are not covered under warranty.
  • Repairs: Products repaired beyond the warranty period will be charged for materials and service. The product should be sent to an authorized service center for repair.
