4. Assembly and Setup

The RCB G5 Electric Bike comes partially assembled. Follow these general steps for final assembly. Detailed instructions are provided in the included assembly guide.

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Front Wheel Installation: Attach the front wheel to the fork, ensuring the disc brake rotor is correctly aligned with the caliper.
  3. Handlebar Installation: Secure the handlebar to the stem, adjusting for comfortable riding position.
  4. Seat Post and Saddle: Insert the seat post with the saddle into the frame and adjust the height. Ensure the quick-release lever is securely tightened.
  5. Pedal Installation: Attach the pedals. Note that pedals are typically marked 'L' for left and 'R' for right, and the left pedal has a reverse thread.
  6. Battery Installation: Insert the removable battery into its compartment and ensure it is securely locked.
  7. Initial Charge: Fully charge the battery before your first ride.
  8. Pre-Ride Check: Before riding, check tire pressure, brake function, and ensure all bolts and quick releases are tightened.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Battery Charging

The 36V 10.4Ah removable lithium battery charges fully in approximately 5.5-6.5 hours. Use only the provided charger. Connect the charger to the battery charging port, then plug it into a power outlet. The charger indicator light will show charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).

5.2 Power On/Off and Unlocking

The RCB G5 supports APP and NFC unlocking for enhanced security and convenience.

  • NFC Unlocking: Tap your NFC key card to the designated area on the display to unlock and power on the bike.
  • APP Control: Download the RCB APP to your smartphone. Pair your bike with the app to control various functions and unlock the bike.
  • Power On: After unlocking, press and hold the power button on the display.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the power button on the display until the screen turns off.

5.3 Smart LCD Display

The intelligent LCD display provides real-time information and allows control over bike settings.

  • Cruise Control: Engage cruise control for consistent speed on flat terrain.

5.4 Riding Modes

The RCB G5 offers three riding modes to suit your preference and terrain:

  • Pedal Assist Mode: The motor provides assistance as you pedal, making riding easier, especially on inclines or for longer distances. Adjust assist levels via the LCD.
  • Normal Bicycle Mode: Ride the bike like a traditional bicycle, using only pedal power. The motor provides no assistance.
  • Walk Mode: Provides a low level of motor assistance to help you push the bike when walking alongside it.

5.5 Gear Shifting and Braking

  • 21-Speed Gearbox: The bike is equipped with a 21-speed gearbox, typically comprising a multi-speed front chainring and a 7-speed Shimano rear shifter, allowing you to adapt to various terrains and riding conditions. Shift gears smoothly by pedaling lightly while operating the shifters.
  • Dual Disc Brakes: The front and rear disc brakes provide reliable stopping power. Apply both brakes simultaneously for effective and safe braking.

5.6 Suspension System

The RCB G5 features a full suspension system, including a front hydraulic shock absorber and saddle seat absorption, for a comfortable ride on varied terrain. The front fork also includes a lockout mechanism.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your RCB G5 Electric Bike.
