3. Monitor Features and Ports

Familiarize yourself with the monitor's physical features and connection ports:

  • Audio Jack: For connecting headphones or external speakers.
  • Menu +/-: Used to navigate and adjust settings in the On-Screen Display (OSD) menu.
  • Power Button: Turns the monitor on/off and can also be used for OSD menu selection.
  • Mini HDMI Port: For video input from devices using an HDMI cable.
  • USB-C Port (Power & Display): A full-featured USB-C port for both video signal and power delivery.
  • USB-C Port (Power & Charging): Primarily for power input to the monitor, also supports pass-through charging for connected devices.
  • Speaker: Integrated speakers for audio output.
  • Brightness Adjustment Switch: A physical switch to quickly adjust screen brightness.

4. Setup and Connection

Follow these steps to connect your portable monitor to various devices.

4.1 Powering the Monitor

The monitor can be powered via a USB-C connection. Use the provided power adapter and USB-A to USB-C cable, or a full-featured USB-C to USB-C cable if your device supports power delivery.

Pass-through Charging: If your laptop or device supports it, you can connect your computer's power adapter to the monitor's dedicated USB-C charging port. This allows the monitor to draw power and simultaneously charge your connected device through the other USB-C port, simplifying your setup.

4.2 Connecting to a Laptop/PC (USB-C)

For devices with a Thunderbolt 3/4 or full-featured USB-C port that supports video output, a single USB-C to USB-C cable is sufficient for both video and power.

  1. Connect one end of the USB-C to USB-C cable to your laptop's Thunderbolt 3/4 or full-featured USB-C port.
  2. Connect the other end to the monitor's USB-C (Power & Display) port.
  3. The monitor should automatically detect the signal and display your desktop.

4.3 Connecting to a Laptop/PC (HDMI)

If your device uses an HDMI port for video output, you will need to use the provided Mini HDMI to HDMI cable. You will also need to provide power to the monitor separately.

  1. Connect the Mini HDMI end of the cable to the monitor's Mini HDMI port.
  2. Connect the standard HDMI end to your laptop's HDMI port.
  3. Connect the monitor to a power source using the USB-A to USB-C cable and power adapter.

4.4 Connecting to Gaming Consoles (PS4/5, Xbox, Switch)

The monitor is compatible with various gaming consoles. Use the Mini HDMI to HDMI cable for video and ensure the monitor is powered.

  1. Connect the Mini HDMI end of the cable to the monitor's Mini HDMI port.
  2. Connect the standard HDMI end to your gaming console's HDMI output.
  3. Connect the monitor to a power source using the USB-A to USB-C cable and power adapter.

4.5 Connecting to Mobile Phones

For mobile phones with a full-featured USB-C port (supporting video output), you can connect directly using a USB-C to USB-C cable. Ensure your phone supports DP Alt Mode.

  1. Connect one end of the USB-C to USB-C cable to your phone's USB-C port.
  2. Connect the other end to the monitor's USB-C (Power & Display) port.
  3. The monitor will mirror or extend your phone's display.

5. Operating the Monitor

5.1 Display Modes

The portable monitor supports various display modes to suit your needs:

  • Extend Mode: Enhances productivity by providing additional screen real estate.

5.2 On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu

Use the Menu +/- buttons and Power button to navigate and adjust settings in the OSD menu. Common settings include brightness, contrast, color temperature, input source, and aspect ratio.

5.3 Magnetic Protective Cover

The included magnetic protective cover doubles as a stand, allowing you to optimize your viewing comfort with adjustable angles. It also protects the screen during transport.

5.4 VESA Mounting

The monitor features two integrated VESA holes (75x75mm, Screw Size: M4x6mm) for stable mounting, supporting both landscape and portrait orientations. A VESA stand is not included in the package.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your portable monitor, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning the Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a screen-cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Anti-Glare Matte Screen: The matte screen is designed to reduce reflections and glare. Clean it gently to preserve its properties.

  • General Care: Keep the monitor away from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and high humidity. Avoid dropping or subjecting it to strong impacts.

    • Verify that your device's USB-C port supports video output (DP Alt Mode).
    • Check your device's display settings to ensure the external monitor is detected and enabled.
    • Try a different cable if available.
  • No Power:
    • Ensure the power adapter is correctly connected to the monitor and a working power outlet.
    • If using a single USB-C cable for power and video, ensure your device can provide sufficient power. Try connecting the external power adapter to the monitor.
  • Display Issues (Flickering, Incorrect Colors):
    • Adjust the brightness and contrast settings via the OSD menu.
    • Ensure your device's graphics drivers are up to date.
    • Try a different video cable.
  • Audio Not Working:
    • Check the volume settings on both the monitor (via OSD) and your connected device.
    • Ensure the correct audio output device is selected in your device's sound settings.
    • If using external headphones/speakers, ensure they are properly connected to the monitor's audio jack.
