Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera body. For the lens and screen, use a lens cleaning cloth and specialized cleaning solution if necessary. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
- Storage: Store the camera in its storage bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to approximately 50% every few months.
- Firmware Updates: Regularly check for and install firmware updates via WiFi to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device does not power on. | Low or depleted battery. | Charge the device fully using the provided adapter. |
| Thermal image is blurry or unclear. | Lens is dirty; incorrect focus (if applicable); environmental factors. | Clean the lens. Ensure proper distance to target. |
| Cannot connect to the app via WiFi. | WiFi is off on the camera or smartphone; incorrect network selected. | Ensure WiFi is enabled on both devices. Select the correct network. Restart both devices. |
| Temperature readings seem inaccurate. | Emissivity setting is incorrect; distance to target is too far; reflective surfaces. | Adjust emissivity for the material being measured. Ensure appropriate measurement distance. Avoid highly reflective surfaces. |
User Tips
- For best results, allow the camera to acclimate to the ambient temperature of the environment before taking critical measurements.
- Experiment with different color palettes to find the one that best highlights the temperature anomalies for your specific application.
- Utilize the Picture-in-Picture (PIP) or Fusion modes to get a better contextual understanding of thermal patterns by combining them with visible light images.
- Regularly transfer recorded images and videos to a computer for detailed analysis and to free up memory card space.
- The 2M drop-proof and IP54 waterproof features make the device robust, but always handle it with care and avoid unnecessary exposure to harsh conditions.
