5. Safety Information

WARNING: Installation and servicing should only be performed by qualified personnel. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • Always disconnect power before installing or servicing the device.
  • Ensure all wiring connections are secure and comply with local electrical codes.
  • Do not operate the device in wet or damp conditions.
  • Verify the voltage and current ratings of your electrical system match the device specifications.
  • Keep the device away from flammable materials.

6. Installation

6.1. Mounting the Meter

The EASEM-E meter is designed for 35mm DIN rail mounting.

  1. Ensure power to the electrical panel is completely disconnected.
  2. Locate a suitable position on a standard 35mm DIN rail within your electrical panel.
  3. Hook the top edge of the meter onto the DIN rail.
  4. Push the bottom of the meter firmly until it clicks into place on the rail.

6.2. Wiring Connections

Refer to the wiring diagrams below for correct connection. Incorrect wiring can damage the device or your electrical system.

  1. Voltage Inputs: Connect the L (Live) and N (Neutral) wires for the meter's power supply, and VA, VB, VC for the three-phase voltage measurement. Ensure correct phase sequence.
  2. Current Transformer (CT) Connections:
    • Pass the respective phase wire (Phase A, Phase B, Phase C) through the center of its corresponding CT.
    • Connect the CT output wires (IA+, IA-, IB+, IB-, IC+, IC-) to the designated terminals on the meter. Ensure polarity is correct (IA+ to IA+, IA- to IA-, etc.). Incorrect CT polarity will result in inaccurate bidirectional measurements.
  3. Relay Connections: If using the built-in relay, connect the load control wires to the dry contact terminals as per your application requirements.

10. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Device not powering onNo power supply; incorrect wiring; faulty deviceCheck circuit breaker. Verify L and N connections. Contact support if power is present and wiring is correct.
Cannot connect to WIFIIncorrect WIFI password; 5GHz network; device too far from router; pairing mode not activatedEnsure 2.4GHz WIFI. Re-enter password. Move device closer to router. Activate pairing mode (refer to app instructions).
Inaccurate readingsIncorrect CT wiring polarity; loose CT connections; incorrect CT type selected in app (if applicable)Verify CT polarity (IA+ to IA+, etc.). Ensure CTs are securely connected. Check app settings for CT configuration.
Relay not respondingIncorrect relay wiring; app control issue; relay faultCheck relay wiring. Ensure app command is sent correctly. Contact support if wiring and app control are verified.

11. User Tips

  • For optimal WIFI signal, ensure the meter is not enclosed in a metal box that could block the signal.
  • Regularly check the mobile app for new features or performance improvements.
  • When installing CTs, ensure the arrow on the CT (if present) points in the direction of current flow towards the load for consumption measurement, or away from the load for generation measurement in bidirectional setups.
