7. User Tips
Here are some helpful tips for getting the most out of your ZEUSLAP ZP156 portable monitor:
- Power Supply: For optimal performance, especially when adjusting brightness and volume, always power the monitor with an external 5V 3A or higher charger. While some devices can power the monitor directly via Type C, an external power source ensures stable operation.
- OSD Settings Persistence: The monitor is designed to save your OSD menu adjustments for future connections, so you typically won't need to reconfigure settings each time.
- Single Type C Connection (Phones): When connecting a phone with a single Type C cable, if the monitor doesn't power on, connect an additional charger to the monitor's PD Type C port.
- Device Compatibility: Refer to the 'Thunderbolts Type C Device List' (available in the full user manual PDF) to check compatibility with various mobile phones, laptops, and graphic cards for Type C connections.
8. Safety Precautions
To ensure safe operation and prevent damage, please observe the following precautions:
- Do not expose the monitor to water sources (bathrooms, dishwashers, kitchens, washing machines, swimming pools, or damp basements).
- Avoid placing the monitor on unstable surfaces (cars, chairs, tables). If the monitor falls, it can cause harm or equipment damage.
- If mounting to a wall or shelf, ensure installation is performed by a recognized manufacturer and strictly follows procedures.
- Ensure proper ventilation. Do not block or cover heat dissipation holes. Avoid placing the monitor on soft surfaces (beds, sofas, blankets) or near radiators/heat sources. It should not be placed in a bookcase or box unless ventilation is guaranteed.
- Confirm the power supply voltage range on the rear housing label. If unsure, contact your dealer or local power company.
- Disconnect power when the monitor is not in use for extended periods to prevent damage from electric shock or voltage fluctuations during thunderstorms.
- Do not overload electrical sockets to prevent fire or electric shock.
- Do not insert foreign objects into the machine, as this can cause short circuits, fire, or electric shock.
- Do not open the rear housing to avoid high pressure and other hazards. In case of malfunction, contact after-sales service personnel directly.
- Plug the monitor into the nearest convenient power outlet.
- The altitude and tropical environment for the adapter model are determined by the adapter it is equipped with.
- The rear nameplate indicates that the product is suitable for safe use in non-tropical climate conditions.
