4.3 Mobile Power Capacity Calculation
The KWS-1902L's power-off storage function allows for calculating mobile power capacity. Here are the methods:
- Fully charge the mobile power supply and connect it to the KWS-1902L.
- Clear the data (rst) on the tester by holding the button for 3 seconds.
- Discharge the electrical appliance until it stops output.
- Method 1 (mAh): Mobile power capacity (mAh) = Measured mAh * battery voltage / efficiency.
- Method 2 (mWh): Mobile power capacity (mWh) = Measured mWh * battery voltage + efficiency.
Note: General mobile power output voltage is 5V, battery voltage is 3.7V, and efficiency is approximately 85%.

5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the tester. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Handling: Avoid dropping or subjecting the tester to strong impacts. Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the device, as this will void any potential warranty.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Display or Incorrect Readings:
- Ensure all Type-C connections are secure and fully inserted.
- Verify that the power source (charger, power bank) is active and providing power.
- If the issue persists with a specific charging head or device, it might indicate an incompatibility. Please note the model of the charging head for reference.
- Data Not Clearing:
- Make sure you are holding the button down for a full 3 seconds to initiate the data clear function. A quick press will only switch pages.

8. User Tips
- Long-Term Monitoring: Utilize the power-off storage feature to track the total charge capacity and energy delivered to devices like power banks or for long charging sessions. This helps in assessing battery health and charger efficiency over time.
- Comprehensive Diagnostics: Don't just stick to the main voltage/current/power screen. Cycle through all three display modes to gain deeper insights, especially the D+/D-/CC1/CC2 voltages, which can be crucial for diagnosing fast charging protocols and cable quality.
- Portability: Given its small size, keep the tester handy in your tech bag. It's an excellent tool for quickly checking charging performance on the go, especially when using unfamiliar chargers or cables.
- Cable Testing: Use the tester to compare different Type-C cables. A significant drop in voltage or current with a particular cable might indicate a low-quality or damaged cable.
