5. Setup Guide
- Insert into Car Cigarette Lighter: Plug the BT93 device firmly into your car's 12V-24V cigarette lighter socket. The device will power on automatically.
- Set FM Frequency: On the BT93, find an unused FM frequency (one with no radio station broadcasting) by pressing the 'CH+' or 'CH-' buttons. Then, tune your car's FM radio to the exact same frequency. Ensure there is no interference for clear audio.
- Bluetooth Pairing:
- The device will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode. The display will show "Unconnected" or a similar indicator.
- On your smartphone or Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "BT93" from the list to pair. Once connected, the display will show "Connected" or a Bluetooth icon.
- Music Playback Source: Long press the 'BASS' button to cycle through music sources: Bluetooth, USB Disk, Micro SD Card, or Aux In.
- Insert USB/Micro SD (Optional): If using a USB flash drive or Micro SD card, insert it into the corresponding slot on the device. The device will automatically detect and begin playing music from the selected source.
- Aux-in Connection (Optional): Connect your audio device to the BT93 using the provided audio cable for direct audio input.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Music Playback
- Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button (usually indicated by a triangle or two vertical bars) to play or pause the current track.
- Next/Previous Track: Use the 'Next' (forward arrow) and 'Previous' (backward arrow) buttons to skip tracks.
- Volume Control: Rotate the main knob clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease volume.
- Equalizer Adjustment: Press the 'BASS' or 'TRE' (Treble) buttons to enter the equalizer adjustment interface. Rotate the main knob to adjust bass and treble levels. Press the button again to exit.
6.2 Hands-free Calling
- Answer Call: When an incoming call is received, press the main knob to answer.
- End Call: During a call, press the main knob to end the conversation.
- Reject Call: Long press the main knob to reject an incoming call.
- Redial: Double-press the main knob to redial the last number.
6.3 FM Frequency Adjustment
- Press the 'CH+' or 'CH-' buttons to adjust the FM transmitting frequency. Ensure this matches your car radio's frequency.
6.4 Car Battery Voltage Display
- The device's display will show your car battery's voltage. Refer to Figure 3.5 in the Product Overview section for normal voltage ranges.
7. Maintenance
- Keep the device dry. Moisture can damage electronic circuits.
- Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures. High temperatures can shorten the life of electronic devices, destroy batteries, and warp or melt plastic parts.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean the device. Wipe it with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid dropping, knocking, or shaking the device. Rough handling can break internal circuit boards and fine mechanics.
- Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.
8. Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the device is properly inserted into the car's cigarette lighter socket and the car's ignition is on. Check the car's fuse for the cigarette lighter.
- Poor FM Signal/Static:
- Adjust the FM frequency on the BT93 and your car radio to an unused channel (one with no broadcasting station).
- Move to a different location to avoid local radio interference.
- Ensure the device is positioned optimally for signal transmission.
- Bluetooth Not Connecting:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the BT93 is in pairing mode.
- Delete "BT93" from your phone's paired devices list and try pairing again.
- Restart both your phone and the BT93 device.
- Music Playback Issues (USB/Micro SD):
- Ensure the music files are in a supported format (MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC, WAV).
- Check if the USB drive or Micro SD card is properly inserted and not corrupted.
- Verify the storage device's capacity does not exceed the maximum supported (64GB for USB, 32GB for Micro SD).
- Hands-free Call Quality is Poor:
- Ensure the microphone is not obstructed.
- Reduce background noise in the car.
- Adjust the volume on both the BT93 and your phone.
9. User Tips
- Optimal Sound Quality: For the best audio experience, use high-quality audio files (e.g., FLAC, WAV) and ensure your car's FM radio is tuned to a clear, unoccupied frequency. Experiment with the Bass and Treble equalizer settings to match your preference.
- Car Battery Monitoring: Regularly check the car battery voltage displayed on the device. This can help you identify potential battery issues early.
- Adjustable Angle: Utilize the 180° adjustable neck to position the device for optimal visibility and accessibility of controls.
- Power Off Memory: Take advantage of the power-off memory feature; your music will resume from where you left off, even after turning off your car.
