Important Safety Information

Always observe basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of serious personal injury. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or death.

  • Read the Manual: Familiarize yourself with all controls and proper use of the equipment.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear appropriate eye protection (safety glasses or goggles), hearing protection, heavy-duty gloves, long pants, and sturdy, non-slip footwear. A safety helmet is recommended when using the pole saw.
  • Fuel Handling: Handle gasoline with extreme care. It is highly flammable. Mix fuel outdoors in a well-ventilated area. Do not smoke or bring any flame or sparks near the fuel.
  • Work Area: Keep the work area clear of other people, children, and pets. Operate the tool only in well-lit conditions.
  • Inspect Before Use: Before each use, check the tool for loose fasteners, damaged parts, or any other condition that may affect its safe operation.
  • Maintain Control: Always maintain a firm grip on the handles. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
  • Engine Safety: Never operate the engine indoors. Exhaust fumes contain carbon monoxide, which can be deadly. Allow the engine to cool before refueling.

Setup and Assembly

Before assembly, ensure the engine is off and cool. Wear protective gloves during assembly.

1. Fuel Mixing:

This tool uses a 2-stroke engine and requires a specific fuel mixture. Mix unleaded gasoline with 2-stroke engine oil at a ratio of 25:1 (Gasoline:Engine Oil). Use the provided oil pot for accurate measurement. Shake the mixture well before pouring it into the fuel tank.

2. Attaching the Main Shaft and Handle:

  1. Connect the flexible drive shaft (hose) from the engine unit to the main shaft.
  2. Securely attach the handle to the main shaft at a comfortable operating position using the provided installation tools.

3. Attaching the Desired Tool Head:

Each tool head (hedge trimmer, chainsaw, brush cutter, nylon trimmer, circular saw) connects to the end of the main shaft. Ensure the connection is firm and secured with any locking mechanisms or bolts provided in the installation package.

4. Attaching the Blade Guard:

Always attach the appropriate blade guard (straw board) for the cutting attachment you are using. This protects against debris and accidental contact with the blade.

5. Wearing the Harness:

Put on the orange shoulder strap (harness) and adjust it for a comfortable and balanced fit. This helps distribute the weight of the engine unit and reduces fatigue during operation.

Operating Instructions

Starting the Engine:

  1. Ensure the fuel tank is filled with the correct 25:1 gasoline/oil mixture.
  2. Set the choke lever to the 'CLOSED' position (if applicable).
  3. Press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible in the return line.
  4. Set the ignition switch to 'ON'.
  5. Pull the starter cord firmly and smoothly until the engine fires (usually 1-3 pulls).
  6. Once the engine fires, move the choke lever to the 'OPEN' position.
  7. Pull the starter cord again until the engine starts and runs smoothly.
  8. Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before engaging the throttle.

Using the Attachments:

Always wear appropriate PPE and maintain a safe distance from the cutting area.

  • Hedge Trimmer: Use a sweeping motion to trim hedges. Keep both hands on the handles and maintain balance. Avoid cutting branches thicker than recommended for the blade.
  • Pole Saw: Position the saw blade on the branch to be cut. Apply steady pressure and let the saw do the work. Be aware of falling branches.
  • Brush Cutter (3T Blade/Circular Saw Blade): Use a side-to-side sweeping motion. Be cautious of kickback, especially with thicker vegetation.
  • Nylon Trimmer Head: Use for lighter grass and edging. Keep the trimmer head slightly above the ground.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your tool. Always ensure the engine is off and cool before performing any maintenance.

  • Cleaning: After each use, clean the tool and attachments of grass, dirt, and debris. Use a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  • Blade Care: Keep all cutting blades sharp and free of nicks. Sharpen or replace dull blades as needed. Apply a light coat of oil to metal blades to prevent rust during storage.
  • Air Filter: Regularly check and clean the air filter. A clogged air filter can reduce engine performance.
  • Spark Plug: Inspect the spark plug periodically. Clean or replace if fouled or worn.
  • Fuel System: If storing the tool for an extended period, drain the fuel tank or use a fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel degradation.
  • Lubrication: Lubricate moving parts and gearboxes of attachments as recommended in the specific attachment's instructions.
