6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Wipe the radio with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Avoid getting moisture into ports or openings.

6.2 Storage

Store the radio in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.

6.3 Battery Care

To maximize battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the battery regularly, especially if the device has not been used for a long time.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the Master Switch is in the 'ON' position. Check battery level and recharge if necessary using any of the three charging methods.
  • Poor Radio Reception: Fully extend the telescopic antenna. Try repositioning the radio. Ensure you are not in an area with heavy interference.
  • Bluetooth Pairing Issues: Ensure the radio is in Bluetooth mode and discoverable. Turn off and on Bluetooth on both the radio and your device. Make sure your device is within the 32-foot range.
  • Music Player Not Working (TF/USB): Ensure the TF card or USB drive is inserted correctly and contains compatible MP3 files. Try a different card/drive if issues persist.
  • Flashlight Not Working: Check if the battery has sufficient charge. Ensure the flashlight switch is activated.

9. User Tips

  • For best solar charging results, place the radio in direct sunlight for several hours. This method is primarily for trickle charging or maintaining battery life, not for rapid charging.
  • When using the hand-crank, a consistent, moderate speed is more effective than fast, erratic cranking.
  • The white noise function can be very helpful for relaxation or masking distracting sounds, especially in noisy environments or for improving sleep.
  • Always keep the Type-C charging port covered when not in use to protect against dust and moisture, especially in outdoor settings.
