Setup

Compatibility

This side handle is exclusively designed for NEEWER 2nd Generation Phone Cages, specifically models PA042 for Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and PA043/PA044 for iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Attaching the Handle to the Phone Cage

The handle features a quick release clamp for easy and secure attachment.

1. Turn the locking knob clockwise to unlock the clamp.
2. Press the release button, and the buckle will lift up.
3. Align the handle with the quick release mounting slots on your NEEWER 2nd Gen Phone Cage.
4. Insert the handle into the slot.
5. Turn the locking knob counterclockwise to securely lock the handle in place.

Cold Shoe Mount

The handle includes a built-in cold shoe with an anti-off pin, compatible with various accessories such as DJI wireless lavalier microphones and LED video lights. A removable rubber cover protects the cold shoe when not in use.

Operating Instructions

Handle Positioning and Adjustment

The handle supports 360° rotation and 2.2"/55mm vertical adjustment, allowing it to function as a side handle or a top handle for various shooting angles, including low-angle shots. This adjustability helps achieve optimal balance for your setup.

Wireless Bluetooth Shutter Release (Optional)

If your model includes the Bluetooth Handle option, you can pair it with your iOS or Android phone to remotely trigger photos and videos.

1. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is enabled.
2. Press and hold the shutter button on the handle until the blue light flashes, indicating pairing mode.
3. On your phone, search for and connect to the device named 'NEEWER Shutter' or similar.
4. Once paired, a short press of the shutter button will trigger your phone's camera. The blue light will turn on once with each press.

Built-in Hex Key

An L-shaped hex key is built into the handle for convenient adjustments and tightening of the handle arm.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the handle with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the aluminum alloy or rubber coating.

Troubleshooting

• Handle feels loose: Ensure the quick release locking knob is fully tightened counterclockwise. Check that the handle is correctly seated in the phone cage's mounting slot.
• Bluetooth Shutter not pairing: Make sure the handle is in pairing mode (blue light flashing). Check your phone's Bluetooth settings and ensure it's discoverable. Try restarting both the handle (if applicable) and your phone.
• Damping not adjustable: Please note that the damping mechanism for rotation is not adjustable via side screws.
• Compatibility issues: This handle is specifically designed for NEEWER 2nd Generation Phone Cages (PA042, PA043, PA044). It may not be compatible with other phone cages or older NEEWER models.
