Setup Instructions
- Assemble the Stand: Attach the column to the base using the provided screws. Ensure it is stable.
- Mount the Microscope Unit: Securely attach the microscope unit to the adjustable arm on the column.
- Install the X-Y Moveable Stage: Place the X-Y moveable stage onto the base. This stage allows for precise positioning of your samples.
- Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the microscope unit and then into a power outlet.
- Install SD Card: Insert the provided 32GB SD card into the designated slot on the microscope unit for recording images and videos.
- Attach Lenses: Select the appropriate lens (A, B&C, L, or M) for your observation needs and screw it onto the microscope objective.
- Connect External Lights: If additional illumination is required, connect the external LED lights and adjust their position.
- Optional: HDMI/PC Connection:
- For HDMI output, connect an HDMI cable from the microscope to an external monitor.
- For PC connection, use the USB cable to connect the microscope to your computer. Install the necessary PC software (not included, usually downloadable from the manufacturer's website) for measurement and advanced functions. Note: The endoscope does not support PC output.
Operating Instructions
- Power On: Press the power button on the microscope unit to turn on the device. The LCD screen will display the live view.
- Place Sample: Place your specimen on the X-Y moveable stage. Use the stage's knobs to center the sample under the lens.
- Adjust Focus: Rotate the focus knob on the microscope body to bring the image into sharp focus on the LCD screen.
- Adjust Magnification: Change lenses as needed for different magnification ranges. Lens A (18-720X) is suitable for whole coins or plants, Lens L (60-240X) for soldering/repairing, and Lenses B, C, M (1560-5100X) for biological slides.
- Adjust Illumination: Use the built-in LED lights and external LED lights (if connected) to illuminate your sample. Adjust brightness using the dimmer cable or controls on the unit.
- Capture Images/Videos: Use the buttons on the microscope unit or the remote control to capture photos or record videos. Captured media will be saved to the SD card.
- Using the Endoscope: Connect the endoscope to the designated port. The endoscope is ideal for inspecting hard-to-reach areas. Note that the endoscope does not support PC output.
- Review Media: Access the gallery/playback mode on the LCD screen to review captured images and videos.
- Power Off: Press and hold the power button to turn off the microscope after use.
Maintenance
- Cleaning Lenses: Use a soft, lint-free cloth and lens cleaning solution to gently wipe the lenses. Avoid touching the lens surface with bare hands.
- Cleaning Screen: Use a microfiber cloth to clean the LCD screen. Do not use harsh chemicals.
- General Cleaning: Wipe the microscope body and stand with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Ensure no liquids enter the electronic components.
- Storage: Store the microscope in a clean, dry, and dust-free environment when not in use. Keep it away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- SD Card Management: Regularly back up data from the SD card to prevent loss. Format the SD card periodically for optimal performance.
Troubleshooting
- No image on screen:
- Ensure the power adapter is correctly connected and the microscope is turned on. Check if the lens is properly attached and focused. Verify that the SD card is not full or corrupted if trying to record.
- Image is blurry:
- Adjust the focus knob carefully. Ensure the correct lens is selected for the working distance and magnification. Clean the lens if there is dust or smudges.
- Cannot connect to PC:
- Ensure the USB cable is securely connected. Install the correct PC software and drivers. Remember that the endoscope does not support PC output.
- SD card error:
- Try reinserting the SD card. If the issue persists, try formatting the card (this will erase all data) or use a different compatible SD card.
- Remote control not working:
- Check the battery in the remote control. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the microscope's IR receiver.
User Tips
- Optimal Lighting: Experiment with the built-in and external LED lights to achieve the best illumination for your sample, minimizing shadows and glare.
- Stable Setup: Always ensure the microscope is on a stable, flat surface to prevent shaking, especially at higher magnifications. The metal stand is designed for enhanced stability.
- Lens Selection: Choose the appropriate lens for your task. For larger objects like coins, Lens A is ideal. For intricate work like soldering, Lens L provides a good balance of magnification and working distance. For microscopic biological samples, Lenses B, C, or M are necessary.
- Fine Adjustment: Utilize the X-Y moveable stage for precise positioning of small components or slides, which is crucial for detailed inspection.
- External Monitor: For collaborative viewing or larger display, connect the microscope to an external monitor via HDMI. This can provide a more immersive viewing experience.
