The NISSEI Mini TX-502 is a high-quality SWR/Watt meter designed for measuring forward power, reverse power, and standing wave ratio across a wide frequency range of 1.6 to 525 MHz. 3. Setup

3.1 Power Connection

The external power supply (9-14V DC, 200mA) is primarily for enabling the LED backlight function. It does not affect the measurement capabilities of the device. Ensure correct polarity when connecting the power cable:

3.2 Antenna and Transceiver Connection

The TX-502 features two sets of M-type (SO-239 female) interfaces on its rear panel, each corresponding to a specific frequency range:

Connect your transceiver (transmitter) to the TX interface and your antenna or dummy load to the ANT interface, ensuring you use the correct frequency range ports for your application.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Cross Pointer Reading

The TX-502 features a cross pointer display that simultaneously shows forward power (black pointer), reverse power (blue pointer), and standing wave ratio (red pointer). No calibration is required for this feature. The SWR value is read at the intersection point of the forward and reverse power pointers.
