4. Applications

The TOOLTOP ET14S is suitable for a wide range of applications, including:

  • Home appliance overhaul
  • Circuit board inspection and repair
  • Power supply and electronic equipment maintenance
  • HVAC system diagnostics (e.g., underfloor heating, central air conditioning)
  • Automotive maintenance
  • Industrial temperature measurement
Examples of ET14S applications: power system, underfloor heating, automobile, PCB repair

5. Maintenance

  • Keep the device clean and free from dust and moisture. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
  • Store the device in its provided storage bag when not in use to protect it from physical damage.
  • Ensure the battery is charged regularly, especially if the device is not used for extended periods, to maintain battery health.
  • Software upgrades are supported via USB. Regularly check for updates to ensure optimal performance.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Image Blurring with Macro Lens: The macro lens has a working distance of approximately 2.5cm. If the object is further away, the image may become blurred. Use normal thermal imaging mode for objects outside this range.
  • Thermal Image Calibration Lag: The thermal imaging detector performs a mechanical control calibration every 10 seconds to ensure accuracy. This may cause a brief lag of 1-2 seconds, which is normal operation and not a malfunction.
  • Inaccurate Temperature Readings: Ensure the emissivity setting is correctly adjusted for the material being measured. Different materials have different emissivities.
  • Device Not Powering On: Check if the 18650 lithium-ion battery is correctly installed and sufficiently charged.
  • Multimeter Readings 'OL': 'OL' (Overload) indicates that the measured value is outside the device's range for the selected function. Switch to a higher range or verify the connection.
