4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Oscilloscope Functions

The DSO2D15 features 2 independent channels, 150MHz bandwidth, 1GSa/s real-time sample rate, and 8M memory depth. Vertical range is 2mV/div to 10V/div with 8-bit vertical resolution.

  • Channel Control: Each channel (CH1, CH2) has independent knobs for vertical position and volts/div settings.
  • Horizontal Control: Use the horizontal position and sec/div knobs to adjust the time base.
  • Trigger System: Supports various trigger types including Edge, Pulse width, Video, Slope, Overtime, Window, Pattern, Interval, Delay, UART, LIN, CAN, SPI, IIC.
  • Measurements: Offers 32 kinds of auto measurements with statistics (maximum, minimum, standard deviation, etc.). Includes 5-bit digital voltage meter and 6-bit hardware frequency indicator.
  • Data Saving: Can save data in multiple formats: setting, waveform, reference waveform, CSV, and picture.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the oscilloscope. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild detergent can be used. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Probe Care: Handle probes carefully. Avoid bending or stressing the probe tips. Store probes properly to prevent damage.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation openings on the device are not blocked to prevent overheating.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the oscilloscope in a dry, dust-free environment.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Check the power cord connection and the power outlet. Ensure the power button is pressed.
  • No Signal Display: Verify probe connections to both the oscilloscope and the circuit under test. Check the channel input settings (e.g., AC/DC coupling, vertical scale). Ensure the trigger level is set correctly.
  • Distorted Waveform: Check probe compensation. Ensure the probe attenuation setting matches the oscilloscope's setting. Verify the input signal is within the oscilloscope's voltage limits.
  • AWG Output Issues: Confirm the AWG function is enabled and the correct waveform parameters are set. Check the connection of the BNC to crocodile clip test lines.
