3. Setup and Installation
This power supply is designed for hot-swappable installation in compatible HUAWEI RH5885 V2 servers. Always ensure the server is powered off and disconnected from the main power source before attempting installation or removal.
- Preparation: Ensure the server chassis is compatible with the EPW3000-12A-X power supply. Verify that the server is powered down and all power cables are unplugged from the wall outlet.
- Locate PSU Bay: Identify the power supply bay in your HUAWEI RH5885 V2 server.
- Insert PSU: Grasp the power supply by its handle. Align the power supply with the empty bay and gently slide it in until it clicks securely into place. Ensure the connector pins at the front of the PSU engage properly with the server's backplane.
- Connect Power: Connect the appropriate AC power cable to the power input port on the rear of the power supply.
- Power On: Reconnect the server's main power cables to the wall outlet and power on the server. The power supply's status indicator (if present) should show normal operation.
