8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the engraving platform and the laser lens to ensure optimal performance. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Dust Removal: Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from the internal components, especially around the laser module and moving parts.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the engraver in a dry, dust-free environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

9. Troubleshooting

9.1 Common Issues and Solutions

  • Machine not connecting to computer:
Ensure both USB cables are securely connected. Try different USB ports on your computer. Verify that the software is correctly installed and running. Restart your computer and the engraver.
  • Laser not firing or weak engraving:
Check if the laser power setting in the software is appropriate for your material. Ensure the focal length is correctly adjusted for the material thickness. Clean the laser lens if it appears dirty.
  • Engraving is blurry or distorted:
Verify that the material surface is level and stable. Ensure the laser's focus is precisely on the surface of the material. Check for any loose components on the engraver.
  • Offline engraving not working:
Confirm that an image was successfully pre-stored to the machine during an online session. Ensure both USB cables are connected to a stable 5V 1A power source (charger or power bank).

10. User Tips

  • For best results, ensure the object's surface to be carved is leveled, and the laser's focus is precisely on the surface. Uneven surfaces or incorrect focus can lead to poor engraving quality.
  • Experiment with different power and speed settings in the software on scrap material before engraving your final piece to achieve the desired depth and clarity.
  • The weak light automatic positioning feature is very useful for accurately placing your design on the material without wasting material.
