6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues during or after building your PC, consider the following general troubleshooting steps:
- No Power: Double-check all power connections, including the 24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU, and GPU power cables. Ensure the PSU switch is in the 'ON' position.
- No Display: Verify that your monitor is connected to the graphics card (not the motherboard integrated graphics, unless you are using it) and that the GPU is properly seated in its PCIe slot. Reseat RAM modules.
- Component Not Detected: Ensure all components (GPU, RAM, storage drives) are correctly seated and connected. Check BIOS/UEFI settings to confirm detection.
- Overheating: Confirm that all fans are spinning and installed in the correct orientation for airflow. Ensure CPU cooler and GPU coolers are properly mounted. Check for dust buildup in filters and heatsinks.
- Loose Cables: A common cause of issues is loose or improperly connected cables. Re-check all internal and external connections.
7. User Tips
- Showcase Your Build: The D400's 270-degree tempered glass design is perfect for showcasing RGB lighting and custom components. Plan your lighting scheme to take full advantage of the 'seaview room' aesthetic.
- Optimize Airflow: With numerous fan mounting options, experiment with different fan configurations (intake/exhaust) to find the best balance for your specific components and ambient temperature.
- Vertical GPU Mounting: If you have a visually appealing graphics card, consider utilizing the rotatable PCIe slot for vertical mounting to make it a focal point of your build. Remember to acquire a compatible riser cable.
- Cable Management is Key: Utilize the generous cable management space behind the motherboard tray to keep your build tidy. This not only improves aesthetics but also enhances airflow.
