Available Soldering Tip Types

Figure 5: Soldering Tip Dimensions
Setup
- Insert Soldering Tip: Carefully insert the desired soldering tip into the heating element of the soldering iron. Ensure it is seated firmly.
- Connect Power Supply: Connect the provided USB-Type-C cable to the soldering iron's Type-C port. Connect the other end to a compatible power source (DC 9-20V) that supports PD2.0/3.0 or QC2.0/3.0 fast charging protocols. For optimal performance and 100W power, a power source of 65W or more is recommended.
- Place in Stand: Place the soldering iron securely in its stand when not actively soldering.
Operation
Power On/Off
The device powers on automatically when connected to a power source. To power off, disconnect the Type-C cable.
Temperature Adjustment

Figure 6: Multi-Function Menu Display
Use the 'Key A' and 'Key B' buttons on the device to navigate the menu and adjust settings. The OLED screen will display the current temperature and other parameters.
Power Adjustment (18-100W)

Figure 7: Power Adjustment Interface
The soldering iron offers 6 power gears (18W, 24W, 27W, 36W, 65W, 100W) which can be fine-tuned. To adjust power:
- Enter the power fine-tuning interface.
- Press 'Key A' or 'Key B' to select the adjustment item.
- Long press 'Key B' to select and short press 'Key A' to adjust.
- Press 'OK' and hold 'Key B' to save the settings.
Induced Dormancy (Auto-Sleep)

Figure 8: Induced Dormancy Feature
The soldering iron features a special induction design. When placed down, it automatically enters hibernation mode (sleep). Picking up the device will wake it up, resuming operation. This feature helps prolong the life of the heating core and saves energy.
PID Temperature Control

Figure 9: PID Temperature Control Performance
Equipped with a 32-bit processor, the soldering iron utilizes segmented PID temperature control for fast warm-up and rapid reheating. This ensures a temperature control accuracy of ±2%.
Maintenance
- Tip Cleaning: Regularly clean the soldering tip with a damp sponge or brass wool to remove oxidation and solder residue. This maintains optimal heat transfer and extends tip life.
- Tip Tinning: After cleaning and before storage, always tin the tip with a small amount of solder to prevent oxidation.
- Heating Core Replacement: If the heating core performance degrades, it may need replacement. Ensure you use the correct heating core type for your specific model (T80 or T80P).
- General Cleaning: Keep the body of the soldering iron clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth.
Troubleshooting
- Soldering Iron Not Heating:
- Check if the Type-C cable is securely connected to both the iron and the power source.
- Ensure the power source is functioning and provides sufficient power (DC 9-20V, PD/QC compatible).
- Verify that the soldering tip is correctly inserted.
- Temperature Jumps (New Heating Core):
- When using a new heating core, the T80 model may experience initial temperature fluctuations. This is normal and the temperature will stabilize after several uses.
- Display Issues:
- If the OLED display is blank or flickering, ensure the power connection is stable.
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting the power.
- Slow Tinning Time:
- Ensure your power source can deliver the required wattage (e.g., 100W for fastest tinning).
- Check if the soldering tip is clean and properly tinned.
User Tips
- Optimal Power Source: To achieve the full 100W power output, use a Type-C power adapter that can supply at least 65W and supports PD/QC protocols. The standard USB-Type-C cable provided is rated for 3A (36W); for higher power, consider a C2C cable if your power source requires it.
- Tip Longevity: Always utilize the induced dormancy (auto-sleep) feature by placing the iron in its stand when not in active use. This significantly extends the lifespan of the heating core and soldering tip.
- Initial Use: When using a new heating core, especially with the T80 model, allow for a few uses for the temperature to stabilize and provide consistent performance.
- Ergonomic Grip: The CNC aluminum alloy body with an anti-slip grip is designed for comfort during extended use. Ensure a relaxed grip to minimize fatigue.
