1. Product Overview

This retrofit kit is designed to upgrade your Mercedes-Benz interior with turbine-style air vents featuring integrated ambient lighting. The system integrates with your vehicle's existing controls for a seamless experience.

1.1. Package Contents

The kit typically includes:

  • Turbine-style air vents (front and/or rear, quantity varies by model)
  • Control module(s)
  • Wiring harnesses (central control patch cord, front air vent wiring, rear air vent wiring)
  • Installation tools (e.g., pry tools, screws)

1.2. Compatibility

This kit is compatible with various Mercedes-Benz models. Please ensure your vehicle's model year and existing ambient lighting system match the product specifications:

  • For W205 C-Class:
    • 2015-2018 3-color products: Must match original car models with 3-color ambient lights.
    • 2018-2021 64-color products: Must match original car models with 64-color ambient lights.
  • For W213 E-Class:
    • 2016-2023 64-color products: Must match original car models with 64-color ambient lights.
  • For W176, W117, W156, X156 (A-class, CLA, GLA):
    • A-class (2013-2018)
    • CLA (2013-2019)
    • GLA (2013-2019)
    • 12-Color Ambient Lighting: Original car screen control.
    • 64-Color Ambient Lighting: Phone App Control.
  • For W222 S-Class:
    • 2014-2017: 7-color system.
    • 2018-2020: 64-color system.

Important: This kit is not compatible with models that do not have existing ambient lighting or do not match the specified color systems.

2. Installation Guide

Professional installation is recommended. Ensure the vehicle's power is off before beginning installation. Refer to the detailed diagrams for specific steps.

2.1. Front Air Vent Installation (W205 Example)

  1. Remove T20 Screw: Locate and remove the T20 screw from the corresponding position of the left and right vent hooks.
  2. Pry Out Air-Conditioning Outlet: Press the buckle and carefully push out the original air-conditioning outlet.
  3. Remove Original Outer Ring: Pry out the silver outer ring of the original air conditioner outlet, then remove the black outer ring. Note: The original black outer ring is needed.
  4. Install New Outer Ring: Pry down the silver outer ring of the new air outlet, install the original black outer ring first, ensuring it corresponds to the notch position.
  5. Distinguish Buckle Size: Differentiate between the red ring and basket ring buckle sizes for correct placement.
  6. Insert Lamp Holder: Push the lamp holder of the central control air outlet upwards into the air vent, ensuring the top logo faces upwards and the corresponding pin is pushed into the air vent.

2.2. Door Control Module and Wiring Installation

  1. Pry Off Door Trim: Carefully pry off the door trim.
  2. Remove Screws: Use a T30 screwdriver to remove screws in the red circles.
  3. Insert Skid Plate: Insert a skid plate from the lower corner of the door and pry off the door panel forcefully.
  4. Transfer Plug: Transfer the No. 3 plug of the door control module, fix the module, and arrange the cable into the car.
  5. Remove Door Plug: Pry the pin plug up to remove the door plug.
  6. Remove Pin Socket: Down in the direction of the arrow, you can remove the pin socket.
  7. Insert Thread Pins: Insert the thread pins into the holes of the original car. Pay attention to the color sequence on both sides to prevent the module from being inserted incorrectly. Pull out the red limit card before inserting the pins.

2.3. Central Control Panel Installation

  1. Pry Off Side Cover: Carefully pry off the side cover.
  2. Pry Open Air Outlet: Pry open the air outlet of the central control screen.
  3. Remove Cigarette Lighter Box: Use a T20 to remove the screws on both sides of the cigarette lighter box and take out the cigarette lighter box.
  4. Remove Central Control Panel: There is a hook directly below the air outlet. When removing the central control panel, press it down to take it out.
  5. Replace Air Outlet: After removing the central control panel, unscrew the air outlet screw and replace the air outlet with our company's product.
  6. Remove One-Click Button and Frame: Remove the one-click button and its frame.
  7. Catch Inner Edge: After catching the inner edge with a hook, hook out the air outlet, and after hooking out, replace it with our air outlet.

2.4. Rear Air Vent Installation (W205/X253/W213 Example)

  1. Pry Out Rear Panel: Carefully pry out the rear panel. There are no screws inside.
  2. Remove Original Air Outlet: The buckle at the corresponding position breaks outward. Be careful not to break it. Remove the original car air outlet.
  3. Remove Original Air Outlet Switch: Press the buckle to remove the original car air outlet switch.
  4. Insert Switch into New Product: The original car air outlet accessories are needed. Insert the switch into our product accessories.
  5. Install Lamp Holder and Outer Ring: Install the lamp holder on the air outlet, and then install the outer ring.
  6. Route Extension Cord: For W213 models, the extension cord goes from side to back.

Note: Always ensure all connections are secure and test the system before reassembling the interior panels.

3. Operating Instructions

The ambient lighting system is designed to integrate with your vehicle's existing controls.

3.1. Color and Brightness Adjustment

  • Central Control Screen Adjustment: For most models, colors and brightness can be adjusted directly through the car's central control screen interface. This allows for dynamic multi-color changes and respiratory color changes.
  • Central Control Gear Lever Adjustment: Some models may also allow adjustment via the central control gear lever.
  • Adjustable Brightness: The brightness is adjustable from 10% to 100%, providing soft and non-glaring illumination.

  • The system synchronizes with the original car's ambient lighting, offering 7 or 64 color changes depending on your vehicle's system.
  • For W176/W117/W156/X156 models with 64-color lighting, control may be available via a dedicated phone application.
