4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Helmet Compatibility

The Maxto M1 headset is designed to be compatible with various helmet types, including full helmets, combination helmets, and three-quarter helmets. Ensure your helmet has sufficient space for speaker placement and microphone positioning.

4.2 Mounting the Headset

  2. Attach the provided magic tape to the back of each speaker and firmly press them into the helmet's ear pockets.
  3. Position the microphone boom arm so that the microphone is close to your mouth for optimal voice pickup, ensuring it does not obstruct your vision or helmet closure.
  4. Route the speaker and microphone wires neatly within the helmet padding to avoid discomfort or entanglement.

4.3 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the Maxto M1 headset. Connect the Micro USB charging cable to the headset's charging port and plug the other end into a 5V/0.5A USB power source. The indicator light will show charging status and turn off or change color when fully charged (approximately 2.5 hours).

4.4 Pairing with Mobile Phones

The Maxto M1 can connect to two mobile phones simultaneously.

  1. Ensure the headset is off. Press and hold the Multi-function button until the indicator light flashes rapidly, indicating pairing mode.
  2. On your first mobile phone, enable Bluetooth and search for "Maxto M1". Select it to pair.
  3. Once connected to the first phone, repeat step 1 to put the headset back into pairing mode.
  4. On your second mobile phone, enable Bluetooth and search for "Maxto M1". Select it to pair.
  5. The headset will now be connected to both phones. You can switch between them for calls or music as needed by managing connections on your phones.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Controls

The Maxto M1 features a three-button interface for easy operation:

  • Multi-function Button: Power On/Off, Play/Pause music, Answer/End calls, Enter pairing mode.
  • '+' Button: Increase volume, Next track (long press).
  • '-' Button: Decrease volume, Previous track (long press).

5.2 Call Management

  • Auto Answer: The headset is designed to automatically answer incoming calls after a few rings, allowing for hands-free communication.
  • Manual Answer/End: Briefly press the Multi-function button to manually answer or end a call.
  • Reject Call: Long press the Multi-function button to reject an incoming call.
  • Voice Dial (Voicer Dial): Activate your phone's voice assistant (e.g., Siri, Google Assistant) by long-pressing the Multi-function button when not on a call. This allows for voice-activated dialing, freeing your hands for safer riding.

5.3 Music Playback

  • Play/Pause: Briefly press the Multi-function button to play or pause music.
  • Next Track: Long press the '+' button.

5.4 Language Switching

  • Regularly check the battery level, especially before long rides, to avoid interruptions.
  • Familiarize yourself with the button functions before riding to operate the headset safely without distraction.
  • When connecting two phones, prioritize the primary phone for calls if you anticipate frequent incoming calls on that device.
