4. Setup
4.1 Power Supply Options
The Kemai MD1702BT offers multiple power options for your convenience:
- AC Power: Directly plug into a 220V AC power outlet using the provided AC power cable.
- DC 6V: Connect to a DC 6V power source via the DC 6V interface.
- Built-in Rechargeable Battery: The unit includes a built-in rechargeable battery for portable use.
- Dry Batteries: For extended portable use, you can also insert 4 No. 1 (D-cell) dry batteries into the battery compartment.

4.2 Antenna
For optimal radio reception, extend the telescopic radio antenna (17) fully. Adjust its direction for the best signal clarity.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
Long press the Power Switch (6) for 3 seconds to turn the speaker on or off.
5.2 Bluetooth Connection
- Long press the Power Switch (6) to turn on the speaker.
- The LED indicator (20) will flash blue, indicating it is in pairing mode.
- On your mobile device, open Bluetooth settings, search for available devices, and select the speaker (usually named 'MD1702BT' or similar).
- Once connected, the LED indicator will show a solid blue light, and you can play music wirelessly.

5.3 AUX Mode
- Connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) from your external audio device to the AUX Audio Input (11) on the speaker.
- The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode.
5.4 Radio Operation (FM/AM/SW)
- Extend the Radio Antenna (17) for better reception.
- Use the Function Selection Switch (7) to choose your desired band: FM, AM, or SW.
- Rotate the Tuning Knob (9) to scan for radio stations. The pointer-type frequency indicator window will show the current frequency.
- Adjust the Volume Knob (8) to your preferred listening level.

5.5 USB/TF/SD Card Playback
The speaker supports playback from USB flash drives, TF cards, and SD cards.
- Insert your USB drive into the U Disk Interface (12) or your TF/SD card into the respective slots (13, 14).
- The speaker will automatically detect the media and begin playback.
- Use the Play/Pause (1), Previous Song (2), and Next Song (3) buttons to control playback.
- The Loop Playback Button (4) allows you to repeat tracks.

5.6 Colorful Lights
The speaker features colorful lights (19). Toggle the Power Switch (6) to activate or deactivate these lights.
6. Charging
To charge the built-in rechargeable battery:
- Connect the AC power cable to the AC Charging Port (18) on the speaker and plug it into a 220V AC outlet.
- The Charging Indicator (20) will show a red light, indicating that the unit is charging.
- Once fully charged, the red light will turn off.
A full charge typically takes 2-3 hours. The playing time on a full charge is approximately 4-10 hours, depending on volume and usage.
