The LCD display provides real-time information such as current speed, battery level, assist level, and trip distance. Refer to the detailed manual (if provided separately) for specific display functions and settings.

Ride Modes

  • Pure Electric Mode: Use the throttle to propel the bike without pedaling.
  • Electric Assisted Mode (PAS): The motor provides assistance as you pedal. You can adjust the level of assistance using the control panel.
  • Pedal Mode: Ride the bicycle like a traditional bike, without any motor assistance.

Throttle Usage

The throttle is located on the right handlebar. Gently twist it towards you to engage the motor in pure electric mode or to boost power in pedal-assist mode. Release the throttle to reduce speed or stop motor assistance.

Gear Shifting

Shimano 7-Speed Transmission System

The Kickwey K7 features a Shimano 7-speed transmission system. Use the shifter on the right handlebar to change gears, allowing you to adapt to various terrains and riding conditions. Shift to lower gears for climbing hills and higher gears for flat roads or downhill riding.

Braking

The bicycle is equipped with reliable disc brakes. The left lever controls the rear brake, and the right lever controls the front brake. Apply both brakes smoothly and evenly for effective stopping power. Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially with the front brake, to prevent skidding.

Lights and Horn

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your electric bicycle.

Battery Care

Removable Large Battery with Key Features
  • Charging: Always use the original charger. Do not overcharge or completely drain the battery. Charge in a well-ventilated area, away from flammable materials.
  • Storage: If storing the bike for an extended period, charge the battery to 50-70% and store it in a cool, dry place. Recharge every 1-2 months to prevent deep discharge.
  • Water Resistance: The battery is IPX5 waterproof, meaning it can withstand splashes but should not be submerged.

Tires

  • Regularly check tire pressure and inflate to the recommended PSI (pounds per square inch) found on the tire sidewall.
  • Inspect tires for wear, cuts, or punctures before each ride.

Brakes

  • Periodically check brake pads for wear and replace them if necessary.
  • Ensure brake levers are responsive and provide adequate stopping power. Adjust brake cable tension if the levers feel too loose or too tight.

Chain and Drivetrain

  • Keep the chain clean and lubricated to ensure smooth gear changes and prevent rust.
  • Inspect the chain and gears for any damage or excessive wear.

Suspension
