4. Setup
4.1 Wiring Diagram
The potentiometer requires a DC 6V-30V input voltage. Connect the device according to the diagram below. Terminals 1 and 2 are for the potentiometer signal, and terminals 3, 4, and 5 are for the power supply (positive and negative).

Back view of the SD003-DVR showing the terminal block. Labels indicate connections for '电位器' (potentiometer) and '电源' (power supply), with '正极' (positive) and '负极' (negative) for power. Terminals are numbered 1 through 5.
4.2 Installation
Ensure the power is off before installation. Mount the potentiometer into a panel using the specified cut-out size of 75.0 x 39.5 mm. Secure the device in place.
5. Operating Instructions
The potentiometer features a digital display and two control buttons, labeled 'A key' and 'B key' on the internal circuit board, for setting parameters.

5.1 Parameter Setting (Minimum Range)
To set the minimum range of parameters (e.g., -1000 to 1000):
- Long press the 'A key'. The first digit of the display will flash (e.g., '8888').
- Press the 'B key' to adjust the flashing digit's value.
- Press the 'A key' again to switch to the next digit (second, third, fourth) for adjustment.
5.2 Magnification Setting
There are two methods for setting magnification:
Method 1: Fine Magnification (0.1 to 5.0)
- Long press the 'B key'. All four digits on the display will flash together (e.g., '8888').
- Press the 'A key' to increment the value. Adjust to the desired magnification (e.g., 0.1, 0.2, ..., 5.0).
- Press the 'B key' again to store the setting and exit.
Method 2: Coarse Magnification (x1, x2, x10)
- Short press the 'B key' to cycle through magnification options (x1, x2, x10).
- The selected magnification will be automatically stored after 2 seconds of inactivity.
5.3 Decimal Point Settings
To adjust the decimal point position (e.g., XXX.XX, XXXX.X):
- Short press the 'A key' to cycle through the available decimal point positions.
- The selected decimal point position will be automatically stored after 2 seconds of inactivity.
6. Maintenance
- Keep the device clean and free from dust and moisture.
- Avoid exposing the potentiometer to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
- Do not use harsh chemicals for cleaning; a soft, dry cloth is recommended.
- Regularly check wiring connections to ensure they are secure.
7. Troubleshooting
- No display/Power issue: Ensure the input voltage is within the DC 6V-30V range and connections are correct.
- Incorrect readings: Verify parameter settings and ensure the correct resistance value potentiometer is selected for your application.
- Unresponsive buttons: Check for any physical obstructions or damage to the buttons.
If issues persist, consult a qualified technician.
