4.2 Riding Modes

The SAMEBIKE RS-A05 offers three distinct riding modes:

Three Riding Modes

  • Electric Mode: Turn on the power, rotate the throttle to engage the motor for full speed driving without pedaling.
  • Assist Mode (PAS - Pedal Assist System): Turn on the power, step on the pedal, and the motor will automatically trigger to provide assistance, making pedaling easier.
  • Cycling Mode: Turn off the power and ride the bike by pedaling, just like a traditional bicycle.

4.3 Gear Shifting

The bike is equipped with a Shimano 7-speed shifting system. Use the shifter on the right handlebar to change gears according to terrain and desired speed.

4.4 Braking System

The RS-A05 features front and rear hydraulic disc brakes for reliable and efficient stopping power. Squeeze the brake levers on both handlebars to engage the brakes. Hydraulic disc brakes provide shorter braking distances for enhanced safety.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your electric bike.

  • Cleaning: Clean the bike regularly with a damp cloth. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on electrical components.
  • Tires: Check tire pressure before each ride. The 29-inch off-road tires are suitable for various terrains (snow, mountain, sand, city roads).
  • Brakes: Inspect brake pads and rotors for wear. Ensure brake levers operate smoothly and provide adequate stopping power.
  • Chain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated for smooth gear changes and to prevent rust.
  • Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place. Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge it regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its health. The battery is removable for convenient charging and storage.
  • Suspension: Periodically check the front suspension fork and rear shock for proper function. The front fork features a lock/open switch for adjusting damping.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your SAMEBIKE RS-A05, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Bike not powering on: Check if the battery is properly seated and charged. Ensure all connections are secure.
  • Motor not assisting: Verify that the bike is in Electric or Assist mode. Check the PAS level on the display. Ensure the throttle or pedal sensor is functioning.
  • Brakes feel weak: Inspect brake pads for wear and replace if necessary. Check for air in the hydraulic lines (may require professional service).
  • Error code on display: The LCD display can show error codes. Consult the full manual (if available) or contact customer support with the specific code for diagnosis.
  • Reduced range: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Riding in high assist modes, against strong winds, or on steep inclines will reduce range. Cold weather can also affect battery performance.
